Today we’d like to introduce you to Miguel Moreira.
Hi Miguel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started in Music production about 15 Years ago. It began with me recording my own band and slowly I built up a Client list of artists I work with till this day.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Ohhhh not at all, Like every artist trying to turn something into a business it has its ups and downs when its doing good you feel like your on top of the world but when its slow or dead you really start doubting yourself. Luckily over the years you gain some stability from it and the downs aren’t as crazy or frequent.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Music producer and I specialize in modern rock and metal music, Like every producer I have my own sound and I’m known for using a lot of synth production heavy distortion and big drums and bass. I like my productions to sound like your in an arena watching your favorite band play on stage. One of the things I’m proudest of is the artist I work with, every new track is a new experience and a new chapter for them to discover who they are and they tale it seriously as I do as well.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I would say its being part of the community, Luckily for me my band CHXSNG STXRS has really helped with that and just being in communication with other artists, word of mouth goes a long way. As far as finding a mentor the production world especially at the local level is very everyone to themselves so my knowledge comes from courses I have taken and just trial and error. Every song is different and every mix teaches you something new.
