Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Lovett.
Hi Michelle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a premature baby weighing 3 pounds, My lungs wasn’t working properly, and me needing a new heart was just the beginning of my medical issues and what my life consisted. I’ve been fighting to live since birth. My parents was told to expect the worst (DEATH). Making it through the night would be a miracle. By plane, I was rushed from Homestead Air Force base hospital to Children’s Variety hospital. Doctors used every method and medication in hopes of saving my life. My parents, family, friends and church members came together, praying for a miracle. Two days later, I was breathing on my own and the hole in my heart begin to close. I truly believe my survival was GOD divine order. Many are still in disbelief, I am still here. Everything that could have killed me uniquely rebuilt me.
Praying, meditating, believing and trusting GOD that I shall live and not die. 42 years later, the miracle baby walking in her purpose and is bless to be a blessing.
Since entering my mother’s womb, I have had an anointing and covering on my life. We are all placed on this earth for a purpose. Forever being a student and realizing we will always have work to do will assist in, Creating life stories based on experiments. Tests offer testimonies. Life circumstances and different situations often had me questioning the word LOVE. I am my parent’s only biological child together. Being in a blended family, life wasn’t always easy.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I was sickly so my family was very overprotective of me. However, society viewed me as a spoiled brat. My parents stayed in the church so I gravitated more to church members since that’s where I lived (lol), most of the time plus accepted. I started having my cycle at nine. I would always cramp so bad that all I could do was lay in bed & take medication. I started wondering will I ever have a break. My 10th grade year, I had surgery to remove a hernia. It seemed whatever my DAD experienced, I would as well. I went off to college and still experiencing the worst pains during my cycles, started seeing a physician. Yes, my first time seeing a doctor about this matter was in college. My mother was never concerned about that issue all she worried about was me getting pregnant! Not to be mean, mom just was raised that way. Heck when I first started, I actually didn’t know what had happen. I promise I thought someone had spilled something on the floor (that’s another volume).
Anyway, after six surgeries, going to different doctors around the world, taking multiple tests, trying different medications and methods to suppress the pain, I found out I had a severe case of endometriosis. My mother told me late 2008, when they removed my left fallopian tube, Michelle stop putting yourself through all this, have the hysterectomy & be done. I may not be here always. My mother passed July 2009. I had an emergency hysterectomy 2010, lost my brother Tommy Lovett that same year. 2011 my dad got remarried after being with my mother over 45 years. 2013, I was told I was misdiagnosed in 09 and probably didn’t have to encounter all the surgeries that I had. and that I had Lupus. My whole world changed. Each volume of life love and lockup goes into details. 2018 I lost my sister Donna we were 13 years apart and extremely close. Last year my last brother Dr. Emanuel Whipple passed and my family went through family matters that almost destroyed my life. My new book that is scheduled to release this month “CRACKED BUT NOT DAMAGED” title came after all these tragedies.
