Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Medina.
Hi Maria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since I was in high school, I’ve always known I wanted to start my own interior design business. The question always was, when? Last year, I was constantly maneuvering through various obstacles. I was traveling often and I ultimately decided to relocate, leading me to leave my previous position.
With more time on my hands, I thought, “What better time than now to pursue my dream?” I took a chance on myself and was excited to finally do something I was passionate about. Now, I’m ready to take the interior design world by storm.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My business journey has certainly been a challenge, but it has been an exciting adventure nonetheless. Prior to leaving my previous role, I was lucky to start building relationships with some of my current clients and have maintained those connections ever since.
One of my biggest roadblocks while pursuing my company is that I am required to wear numerous professional “hats.” One day, I am striving to promote She’s All Interiors, the next I am working on a huge project with a tight deadline, and the day after that I am analyzing my sales performance.
In addition, I repeatedly find myself in new case scenarios which force me to learn how to overcome them. However, these kinds of situations have allowed me to continue to grow in my entrepreneurial career, along with some much-needed guidance from some of my amazing mentors.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
She’s All Interiors is an interior design firm with a goal to help elevate real estate value. We provide high-quality design and exemplary services including staging and 3D renderings. In addition, we are here to provide assistance for any residential and commercial firms in need of some extra hands.
We also provide a free service for students and new designers to learn about the design industry with our mentorship program. Our goal is to not only help our clients optimize their market value but also to teach fellow dreamers how to grow and be the best that they can be. We want to serve not only our clients but those who work with us.
Our purpose is to constantly encourage growth and share our knowledge with anyone willing to learn about the industry. In terms of my brand, I am proud of the sophistication, elegance, and the upscale look and feel around it. We are dedicated to excellence and providing the best service possible.
