Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Gildea.
Hi Lindsay, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I began my career as a hairstylist in 2009. I started in a chain salon and eventually moved to a commission salon before creating my own studio Asylum Hair studio. I’m now an educator for Pravana color, Modern Salon top 100 stylist and published in magazines like hair in motion as well as elevate hair.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I am a mother of three teenage sons who grew up in the salon with me while I was also growing up and raising them and making my business. It for sure has not always been smooth but in our family I believe in leading by faith and progression
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a color specialist meaning I go from a regular root retouch to dramatic transformations and also intense color corrections. I’m extremely proud to be educating others so they are able to create their own art. Something that sets me apart is that I love to share info and never gate keep because we all have so much to offer through our art and techniques it’s amazing when you can help someone else unlock their superpowers
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I’m extremely grateful for my platform and also for all the support from my clients and fans of my work. I am just a girl with big dreams and the tenacity to continue to reach for them, especially with three ambitious young children watching my journey while creating their own
