Daily Inspiration: Meet Lara Klart

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lara Klart.

Hi Lara, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born in Ecuador on July 14, 1993. My first beginnings in television at 14 years old, I recorded my first mini comedy series on a local channel in a city in Ecuador. That was the beginning of my step in the world of entertainment. I was a model, actress and television presenter. I won the Miss World Ecuador national beauty pageant in 2013, and represented my country at the Miss World in Bali, Indonesia. I moved to Mexico City in 2014 because I signed with a talent agency. I did a series on Telemundo in 2017, it was a small role, but I really enjoyed it.

In 2018, after two years of learning to produce music and playing in local clubs, hotels and restaurants in Miami, I was contacted from Mexico and hired to play at the Dreamfields Mexico festival, along with Tiesto, Alesso, Oliver Heldens and many other DJs. recognized worldwide. That festival took me on my first tour in South America and Resistance festival by Ultra Music in Costa Rica in 2019 with Charlotte de Witte and Adam Beyer. It all happened very quickly. I have more than 32 songs since 2017 and many experiences that music has brought to my life. I am too grateful. Music has given me more than I imagined.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
To be respected in the Techno industry for being a woman and working on television. Finish my university studies. But above all, the most difficult thing has been to develop in an industry that is very cruel to women, that they stop seeing us as sexual objects and not very intelligent, although that is changing, it is still a great challenge. Being alone and away from the people I love has also been the most difficult thing I have ever had. I started working and being alone since I was practically a child.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an artist in all its expression. I write, act, make music, express myself in conferences. I like to guide and help others who live or lived the same as me. I am also involved in the politics of my country. I usually travel a lot for my gigs, I continue to act, although now less than before since music has taken me away from the television. I support foundations with social projects and I am currently doing events. Right now, I am creating my own music label in the United States.

What does success mean to you?
At some point in my life, they made me believe that success is only mediated by fame, power and money. Thanks to the life that showed me that success can only be measured by how you feel inside and out, no matter where you work or how much money you have in the bank. The reality is that we are all going to die, and our only purpose as long as we live is to try to be happy at all costs, with a lot or a little. But above all to do what makes you happy, not others. Lead your life with respect for yourself and others. I know a lot of people with fame and money, 80% of them are not happy. So could you tell that they are successful if they are not happy or satisfied? I do not believe it.
