Today we’d like to introduce you to LaChanta Youmans. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Chef Chanta is a native of Miami. Her passion for food began in her grandmother’s kitchen at the age of 16. She began cooking and baking for her friends/family as a hobby and after many encouraging words started Cake Cravers in 2007. Since that time she has obtained a Culinary degree, worked as a personal Chef, conducted cooking demos, and established a strong clientele.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
With building a successful business, there will always be struggles. You have to always work hard to accomplish your goals. Work will be challenging and you will get some complicated customers but you must stay focused on your vision.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Cake Cravers was the first dining business that was doing business in a house. I remember people complaining that it was a house before even arriving. But after the experience, they had the time of their lives. Cake Cravers offers the best dining experience around.
We cook, dine and dance. Cake Cravers were known for their guests partying with chef hats on. I’m most proud of being an inspiration to others to start their business in the culinary world. What sets me apart from others is that I’m a triple threat, I’m an event planner, a host, and a Certified Chef!
What are your plans for the future?
I have so many creative plans. At this moment I’m planning to expand my business and take the dining experience to Port Saint Lucie where I now live.
