Hi Joylin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Divershines was born in early 2023, inspired by the power of success stories and the need to provide real tools for neurodivergent entrepreneurs. I’m Joylin Trechi, and together with Patricia Ibarra, we decided to combine our expertise in strategy, business, and marketing to create a space where talent can turn into real opportunities.
For me, motherhood was the starting point of this vision. As a mom to a neurodivergent child, I embarked on a journey to better understand his needs and potential. Along the way, I had the chance to meet incredible people on the spectrum—entrepreneurs, creators, and innovators who have built successful projects. Their stories inspired me to create a space where more people can share, learn, and grow together.
Patricia, on the other hand, grew up with a cousin on the autism spectrum. This gave her firsthand insight into the challenges and barriers that many neurodivergent individuals face in their professional journeys. Over the years, she has witnessed their intelligence, creativity, and unique problem-solving abilities. However, she has also seen how opportunities can be limited and how many exceptionally talented people struggle to find the right spaces to thrive.
That’s how Divershines came to life—a platform dedicated to the growth of neurodivergent entrepreneurs through mentorship, specialized training, and strategic connections. Our goal is to provide practical tools and a supportive community where individuals can find inspiration, learning opportunities, and resources to grow their businesses. We believe in the power of networking, the impact of sharing experiences, and the importance of surrounding yourself with people who uplift and support your success.
Since its launch, Divershines has grown into a space where neurodivergent entrepreneurship finds visibility and support. We continue to innovate and create new opportunities to help more individuals turn their talents into success stories.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Entrepreneurship is never easy—it’s a journey full of challenges, learning experiences, and moments of uncertainty. However, keeping our purpose at the forefront has helped us stay focused and motivated, even during the toughest times.
At Divershines, every obstacle has reinforced why we do what we do and has pushed us to break down barriers. We understand that turning ideas into impact takes effort, but when you work with passion and conviction, every step—no matter how difficult—brings you closer to your goal.
The road isn’t always smooth, but when you move forward with purpose, every challenge is worth it.

Our corporate experience has been key in shaping the unique value proposition of Divershines. With backgrounds in Marketing and Sales (Patricia) and Demand and Supply Planning (Joylin), we’ve gained firsthand knowledge of how businesses operate, the challenges they face, and the tools that can make a real difference in their success.
Today, we channel that expertise into a greater purpose: supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and their families in their entrepreneurial journeys. We know that starting a business comes with many challenges, and we’re here to provide the strategies and resources needed to turn ideas into sustainable projects.
From demand planning and management to branding and sales strategies, our approach combines the best of our corporate experience with a deep commitment to inclusion. We believe entrepreneurship can be a powerful path to independence and personal growth, and we’re here to make that journey more accessible and successful for those who embark on it.
What makes us most proud at Divershines is seeing neurodivergent individuals and their families break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and turn their ideas into real businesses, brands, products, and services. Witnessing their growth, resilience, and success is what drives us every day. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone take their vision and bring it to life, knowing we could play a small role in that transformation.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
If you’re just starting, our best advice is to “focus” on three essential pillars: persistence, discipline, and “focus”.
Persistence: The entrepreneurial journey won’t always be easy, but every challenge is an opportunity to learn. Don’t give up at the first hurdle—adapt, keep going, and trust the process.
Discipline: Success doesn’t happen overnight. Create routines, manage your time effectively, and stay consistent. Discipline is what helps build a long-term, sustainable business.
Focus: It’s easy to get lost in endless tasks and possibilities. Define a clear purpose and prioritize what truly adds value to your project. Every step forward matters, so move with intention.
One thing we wish we had known from the start is that progress is more important than perfection. Don’t wait until everything is perfect to begin—start where you are, improve along the way, and trust in your own growth.
