Daily Inspiration: Meet Josh Goldstein

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Goldstein.

Hi Josh, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in a small inner city just north of Boston Massachusetts. Growing up, I was always an athlete and worked extremely hard. I was a 3 sports captain in high school for baseball, hockey, and golf. This led me to receive a scholarship to play college baseball at Southern New Hampshire University.

I grind my way into the starting lineup and eventually was an all-conference player with aspirations and opportunities to play professional baseball. Coming off my final season, and a College World Series appearance, I was faced with a decision. Pursue professional baseball or go on a reality TV show that just happened to fall in my lap.

The only way to grow is to step outside your comfort zone so I decided to go on the TV show called Love Island USA on CBS. I knew what I was going to get out of pro baseball, but I chose the unknown route. I had a very successful appearance on the show being an original cast member and I was on pace to win the show with my former girlfriend when one night while filming I was awakened by the worst news of my life.

My sister, my best friend, a role model for me, suddenly passed away at 27 years young. She was one of the best people I knew and her personality was contagious. She was the reason I was on the show because she signed me up for it behind my back. I would have never been there if it wasn’t for my sister taking a chance on me. So I then left the show abruptly and went home to mourn with my family.

After the show, I gained all this success and following on social media, so as a former business student with my master’s degree, I decided to create my own online business. With a passion for health and fitness my entire life and as a former high-level college athlete, I decided to create my own online training platform.

I spent months creating my entire website, recording workouts, putting together meal plans, and every single function of the app you could think of.

After months of creating my business, I finally launched my app in February of 2022. I work closely with clients online giving them motivation and customized meal/workout programs for their specific bodies, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

I created a sustainable approach to fat loss, toning, or gaining lean hard muscle. Now 4 months later, I work with thousands of clients and I get to help as many people as I can feel comfortable in their own skin which makes me happy.

I’m 25 years old, own my own business, and am thriving in the great state of sunny Florida all thanks to my sister! I live every day in her honor making her proud.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road, but only the tough prevail.

Dealing with the tragic loss of my sister, I and my family have been through the wringer these last couple of months. Coming off a show like that I can only describe it as the best time of your life and the worst moment of your life all coming together at the same time.

At times, I didn’t how to act. Sometimes I would be happy from all the accolades of the show, and in a split second I could be breaking down crying thinking that this is not real life and that my sister is no longer with us.

It has been a difficult road, to say the least, but I have always had the best support system and family I could ever ask for. I have always been a hard worker and I decided to take advantage of the opportunity that my sister gave me and start my own business in her honor.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I created my own online health and fitness platform where I help thousands of people achieve their dream bodies. I take a sustainable approach to dieting and exercise where you can still eat foods you love and still get results. My motto is “more results, less cardio.”

What sets me apart besides my 100% customizable programs and my motivational mindset towards my clients, is my platform functionality. In my platform, you can actually click on a dine-out button and still go out and eat foods you love and incorporate it into your meal plan.

It’s also 100% customizable in the sense that You can choose different food options that you love, how many times a week you want to work out, home or gym options, how many times a day you prefer to eat, injuries that you have, etc. I take all that info and create the best plan for you possible.

My mindset and customizability are second to none when it comes to online training.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory besides growing up playing all these sports and traveling to all these cool places was being at the beach house in the summertime with my family.

I and all my extended family would get a house and stay in it and create so many unbelievable memories. I basically grew up on the beach before I could even walk.
