Daily Inspiration: Meet Jessica Gonzalez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Gonzalez.

Hi Jessica , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always had a natural passion for décor and hosting meaningful gatherings. Creating beautiful spaces where people can come together and celebrate has always brought me joy. Seven years ago, when my sister-in-law began her career as a wedding planner, she invited me to assist her with an event, believing it would be a natural fit. After just one wedding, I knew I had found something truly special.

I was immediately drawn to the emotion behind it all—the love stories, the personal details, the privilege of walking alongside couples during such an important chapter of their lives. What began as assisting quickly evolved and I was promoted to lead coordinator, managing my own weddings.

Three years ago, when my sister-in-law and brother decided to relocate from Miami, I saw an opportunity to take a leap of faith. With gratitude for the experience that shaped me and a clear vision for what I wanted to create, I launched Jessica G. Events.

Today, the company continues to grow, and I am still just as passionate as I was that very first wedding—curating beautiful celebrations, honoring each couple’s unique story, and loving every moment of the journey.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I had to start from the very bottom and work my way up. Building something of my own required resilience, patience, and a willingness to step outside of my comfort zone. I had to put myself out there, establish my own voice in the industry, and organically grow a following that believed in my vision.

There were seasons of learning, refining, and proving myself, not just to others, but to myself. Each challenge strengthened my confidence and deepened my commitment to work. Looking back, those early stages were invaluable. They shaped the foundation of Jessica G. Events and instilled in me the work ethic and authenticity that continue to guide the brand today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
One of the greatest parts of this journey has been the incredible team standing beside me. Some of these women have been with me from the very beginning, and their loyalty, talent, and heart are woven into the very fabric of Jessica G. Events.

Frida, now my lead coordinator, first worked alongside me as my assistant when I began under my sister-in-law’s company. Watching her grow into the leader she is today has been incredibly special. Carol joined the team during those early years as well and continues to serve as one of our dedicated assistants. Tatiana, who worked with us in the past, has remained part of our extended family and continues to collaborate with us today.

Belkis’s journey is one of my favorites—she was one of my brides three years ago, trusting us to plan her own beautiful wedding. She fell in love with the process and has since become one of our lead coordinators, bringing her firsthand perspective and passion to every celebration. Jess has been a valued part of our team for the past two years, and our newest addition, Eliana, brings fresh energy and enthusiasm to our growing company.

These women are more than a team—they are the heart of what we do. Their dedication, creativity, and unwavering support make it possible for us to serve our couples with excellence. Without them, none of this would be possible.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe the quality most essential to my success has been perseverance. This industry is beautiful, but it is also demanding. There are long hours, high expectations, and moments that test your confidence. Staying committed—especially during the challenging seasons—has made all the difference.

Equally important is heart. Wedding planning is not just logistics and timelines; it’s about people, emotion, and trust. Couples are inviting us into one of the most meaningful seasons of their lives. Leading with empathy, integrity, and genuine care has allowed us to build lasting relationships and a reputation rooted in trust.

Success, for me, has come from the combination of resilience and heart—showing up consistently, giving my best, and never losing sight of why I started: a love for celebrating life’s most meaningful moments.
