Daily Inspiration: Meet Jade Pettyjohn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Pettyjohn.

Hi Jade, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a writing major at the Savannah College of Art and Design with a minor in fashion journalism. Merging my love for storytelling and visual expression, I worked with editorial publications such as SCAD Manor. I started content creation on Instagram in 2023 and has collaborated with Valentino Beauty, Rare Beauty, Clinique, Andie, and other related brands through College Fashionista, 28 ROW Creators, and networking. Outside the classroom and social media, I balance my creative work modeling in my free time. After modeling for local companies, such as Tribe and Temple and Better Than Sex, I was featured in Vogue Runway in May 2025. Pursuing runway and editorial modeling opportunities allows me to bring the art of fashion to life, social media opens the door to be seen to a larger audience.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been easy, but whenever an obstacle gets in the way, I make my goals happen regardless. I had previously applied to at least 30 modeling agencies before getting signed back in August 2024. I gained a lot of experience by taking local work and adding to my book through all of the rejection. Every since coming to art school, I have grown as a person and became more bold with my goals and networking. Not everything works out and that’s for the best. The right opportunities are out there and it’s not always a straight path.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create lifestyle and product content on social media. I love to share my process and I have found a lot of people interested in my life. I receive DMs on how to get into content creation and modeling almost weekly now, and I’m proud to see that I’m inspiring others to pursue their goals. That’s all I ever want to do. I believe that I’m different because I am a full-time art student that takes part of different industry events that I’m glad to experience at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). I have an exciting life that I’m really blessed to have. Between fashion designer visits and famous actors coming to do workshops, there is a lot that goes on at my campus, and believe me, it’s never boring.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I love alternative culture. I’m a metalhead myself, and everyone I’ve ever met has been surprised to see my playlists. Because most of the photos on my socials are from previous work experience, I think brands don’t really know much of my own personal style. I am hoping to put more of who I am in my photos just the same as my videos.
