Today we’d like to introduce you to Iris Nieves.
Hi Iris, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in the Bronx NY; my parents are from the Caribbean. My mom is from Dominican Republic and has been a business professional her entire life. My Father is From Puerto Rico and his an ex-Navy Mechanic who ran the Mechanic Inspections of al Mechanic shops in the entire Island. Having the best of both parents’ upbringing I emerged into a salesperson from the age of 13.
Moved to Miami in 1992 with $200 in my pocket full of sunshine dreams. I had developed a wonderful Real Estate Team for 12 years, then bought a franchise which I ran and operated for 12 years. I now own and operate my own TV show. In the pandemic time my I had to start from zero again and reinvented myself with my branding and sales experience.
Latin Diva Show started in my small desktop in my Brickell apt., streaming thru Facebook Live. Is been 2 years and since then we have been picked up by 6 international channels. Dishlatino, TvQuisqueya, Vegateve, TeveNorte81, Rokutv, Amazonfirestick, Slingtv, Telemundo 47.
We have been honored to be part of the VIP media to cover red-carpet events for the most prestigious awards and have had the privilege to interview artists with 30 years in the music Industry,
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a challenging road to every one of my projects, but with much resilience and perseverance, I manage to jump every hurdle successfully. The pandemic has been the toughest to overcome and it did leave us with hard financial obstacles.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have been in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. I started as a producer, then an artist manager, and finally a TV producer creating my own tv program.
LATIN DIVA SHOW is created and hosted by me, is an Urban/community motivational Program. I love to interview new artists, new entrepreneurs, great music legends and I love to include educational and motivational segments.
Miami Knows Latin Diva for being a humble helper of new and developing music artists. My passion is to give light and voice to those artist that need a platform to showcase their talent.
My show is focused on the Entertainment of Hispanic Community which sets me apart from the many other shows in the Urban Industry. Even Though they are Urban shows they mainly focus on the artist who are having large followings in the social media, I showcase all talent regardless if you have a huge following or not. My Motto is the artist are not marketing reps, they need to concentrate on developing their music, not focused on how many likes they receive.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out.
My advice is to make sure you have a passion for what your venture is going to be. Research your market and speak to other business like yours to see the pros and cons. Be resilient, persistent, and then be the best you can be.
