Daily Inspiration: Meet Dwight Thomas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dwight Thomas.

Hi Dwight, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Dwight Thomas I am the Founder and President of Thomas For Them Inc, a little bit of our story… I am a State Licensed Private Investigator, during the pandemic of 2020, I started this nonprofit organization to reunite the homeless with their families while also conducting people search for them to be able to find their love ones.

Five years later and we’re still doing this exact thing, we spread out to also helping the community by doing free background checks, people search and free ink fingerprinting for young adults and kids (considering they’re not in the system) parents having to deal with runaways, human trafficking etc this is a great resource for parents to have fingerprints on file to give to local police or and FBI.

During the Holiday season is when we really poor into the community. Our Thanksgiving Community Feedings, Turkey Drives or Our Toy Drive.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
From October to December is considered the holiday season. most donations comes out of the T4T Presidents pockets to be able to provide items of hygiene products, groceries for hot meals, drinks, turkeys and toys. We have a couple of great organizations that assist with partnerships to join together. We love our partnerships.
We can do more and that starts with getting the community involved more and locals businesses especially considering this is OUR community and we have to do it for us. We have to save us.
Donations are needed.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Thomas for Them Inc is a nonprofit organization. We specialize in Child Safety and Homeless Family Reunification.
What sets me apart I would say, my professional life as a Private Investigator allows me to use my databases, expertise and experience to help the community. I am happy to say that we have reunited 8 individuals with their families.

How do you define success?
Defining success is all on your perception.
At this point being able to get better every single year is success for us. Being able to help more individuals, creating partnerships, helping other organizations and being recognizable in the community is a success for us.
