Today we’d like to introduce you to Darlena Banas.
Hi Darlena, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey began long before RejuvaSkin Medspa was born. I’ve been a Nurse Practitioner for over three decades, specializing in nephrology and family medicine caring for patients with chronic illness and witnessing firsthand how stress, inflammation, and lifestyle impact the body from the inside out. Over the years, I personally saw how emotional burnout often showed up not just in the body, but also in the skin and spirit.
That realization planted the seed for RejuvaSkin Medspa. I wanted to create a space where medicine and skincare meet. Where science, touch, and nature come together to help people feel whole again. My goal was to blend my clinical expertise with my passion for holistic beauty and the lymphatic system to help people reconnect with their natural glow through intentional, evidence-based care.
I started off small, right here in Homestead, with just a table, my hands, and a deep belief that touch heals. Every element from the aromatherapy blends to the calming sounds was designed to create an atmosphere of peace and transformation. Today, RejuvaSkin has grown into a holistic haven offering customized facials, body sculpting, and lymphatic drainage therapies that go beyond surface beauty.
It’s been humbling to see how many people resonate with this mission to slow down, reset, and glow from within.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been easy. Starting a business as a full-time Nurse Practitioner came with long nights, steep learning curves, and plenty of moments of uncertainty. There were times I questioned if I could really do both, care for patients and build something of my own from the ground up. But my desire to create a space where people could feel seen, cared for, and restored always outweighed the pressure.
Each obstacle taught me resilience, patience, and the beauty of alignment. Now, every time a client tells me they left feeling lighter, calmer, or more confident, it reminds me that this journey, bumps and all, is worth it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At RejuvaSkin Medspa, I specialize in merging medical precision with holistic care. My focus is on non-invasive treatments that support the body’s natural rhythm such as lymphatic drainage, sculpting facials, and restorative wellness rituals to help my clients look and feel renewed from within.
I’m best known for creating experiences that go far beyond a traditional facial or massage. Every session is sensory-focused and intentionally designed to calm the nervous system, enhance circulation, and support the skin’s natural glow.
As a Nurse Practitioner, I bring a deep understanding of anatomy, the lymphatic system, and evidence-based skincare into every treatment. This allows me to blend science with the healing art of lymphatic drainage in a way that feels safe, nurturing, and transformative.
What I’m most proud of is how my clients describe their sessions, not just as relaxing, but as life-changing. Many leave saying they feel lighter, well-rested, and renewed. That’s what RejuvaSkin is all about: helping people reconnect with their natural beauty and glow from within.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I believe holistic and integrative wellness will become the new baseline. Care that once felt “alternative” — like gut health, stress management, hormonal balance, quality sleep, and a healthy mindset, will move to the center of skincare and aesthetic practice. The future client won’t just come in for a facial; they’ll expect services that acknowledge the full connection between skin, body, and mind. We’re already seeing this shift take root in the industry today.
Clients will continue to seek treatments that deliver transformation with minimal recovery and maximum safety. Non-invasive, evidence-based options that honor the body’s natural rhythm will become the gold standard.
Consumers are also becoming more health conscious wanting non-toxic, eco-conscious, and transparent formulations that reflect their values. The push toward organic, natural, and sustainable skincare is accelerating rapidly.
In addition, I think we’ll see tremendous growth in diagnostics, AI, and predictive analytics that allow for more precise, personalized, and results-driven treatments. This level of customization will empower medspas to deliver care that’s not only transformative but truly tailored to each individual.
