Today we’d like to introduce you to Ciara Rossi
Hi Ciara, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Ciara, a girl from north Dublin, Ireland, who always felt like I had untapped potential but held myself back because of fear—fear of judgment, of not being “smart enough,” or of putting myself out there. Growing up, I underestimated my abilities and lacked confidence. Fast forward to today, and I’m living a life I once thought was impossible. I’ve built a global fitness coaching company, Fit Coach Rossi, and a gym apparel brand, Rossi Apparel. Along the way, I’ve learned so much about myself and what’s possible when you take that first step.
It wasn’t a straightforward journey. My childhood was shaped by my amazing single mom, who raised me and my brother with endless love and encouragement. We didn’t have much, but my mom always taught us to keep going and to trust that things will work out. That resilience stuck with me and shaped how I approach life and challenges.
From my early days as an Irish dancer—competing at the highest levels—to working jobs in supermarkets and gyms, I’ve always been drawn to the connection between hard work and results. I even toured Germany as an Irish dancer, which taught me about pushing limits but also knowing when to pivot. My competitive nature and love for fitness eventually led me to pursue a career in personal training and coaching.
At first, I started small—teaching classes for €3 and grinding every day to build my reputation. I saved up and eventually opened my own Barbie-pink gym in Kilbarrick, pouring my personality into it. But when the pandemic hit, I had to adapt quickly. I sold my equipment and pivoted to online coaching, hosting free Instagram Live workouts and building relationships with people around the world. What started as makeshift programs on Microsoft Word evolved into a thriving global business.
Through every step, I’ve focused on being authentic and making a genuine connection with my clients. Today, Fit Coach Rossi empowers women all over the world to see their own potential and create lives they never thought were possible. Alongside this, I’ve also built Rossi Apparel, a gym apparel brand that reflects my love for fitness and my vibrant personality. Whether it’s through fitness, mindset, or just taking that first leap, I want to show others that no dream is too big if you’re willing to start.
This journey has been about more than fitness—it’s been about showing women that they’re limitless. Society has its expectations, but I believe every woman deserves the freedom to create a life that feels true to her.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Struggles along the way – Being told i wouldnt get the points for the college i wanted to go for by my teachers at school and under estimating me made me come back so strong and prove to myself and others what i could do
Fit Coach Rossi was established 7 years ago and it all started out in a small gym in dublin that grew into a high demand community of women who wanted to transform their lives. I Set up a gym all womens gym in Dublin and with covid and the lockdowns I had to shut it down, After all my money ans savings going into ym dream, it was crushed and taking away but as always i found a way to make it work and transitioned online to where I am now helping women worldwide.
I set up rossi apparel, gym clothing apparel with no background in this industry at all just the pure passion wearing my own gym clothes and matching all the time. I made so many mistakes with even the fist launch but also learnt so much about myself and my resilience along the way
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My two companies are called Fit Coach Rossi which is a world leading, female online coaching company tansforming women’s lives. I’ve built a team and stronger leadership qualities through my own practise and with the help of mentors and coaches to excel in my career.
We run photoshoots, inspiring events, and so much more than just an online coaching company that you wouldnt get anywhere else in the world. Community is everything to me.
Rossi Apparel is 3 years old and is like a sister company to fit coach rossi. Being comfortable, confident in what you wear everyday is a huge passion and key for me every single day. How you show up to train or in general everyday says alot about your standard of life.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One surprising chapter in my story is my background in Irish dancing. Competing since I was four, I won many titles, including a 2nd-place finish at the World Championships. I toured all over Germany as the lead dancer for Dance Masters on a professional dance tour. What’s even more unexpected is that I was also a physical therapist both on tour and in a clinic, treating various injuries. This diverse experience shaped my early career and set the stage for my future pursuits.
I’m also proud of my achievements outside of dance. In April 2024, I stepped onto the stage for my first bodybuilding competition at the PCA Ireland First Timers event and placed 3rd in the Bikini category. I’ve also done modeling for Grenade, a protein bar and performance nutrition brand, and an ad campaign for Nike Metcons with Lifestyle Sports. These unexpected paths have all played a part in my journey to becoming a fitness entrepreneur and coach.
