Today we’d like to introduce you to Boris Pavlenko.
Hi Boris, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Boris Pavlenko, and I create under the name Samādhi.
My creative journey began when I felt a deep desire to discover and express the creativity within myself. I started with painting, and later music naturally became another language through which I could express ideas, emotions, and experiences.
Today, Samādhi has grown into a multidisciplinary creative project that brings together music, visual art, and design. Rather than focusing on a single style or audience, I enjoy creating experiences that connect people from different backgrounds, cultures, and ways of life. My work brings together artists, music lovers, club communities, creative minds, and people simply looking for a meaningful experience.
I believe creativity is a universal language. Whether through a deep listening session, an energetic performance, a piece of artwork, or thoughtfully designed clothing, my goal is to create moments where people feel connected—not only with themselves, but also with one another.
Samādhi is more than a brand or a music project. It’s an evolving creative space where sound, art, and design come together to build bridges between cultures, perspectives, and people.
I’m grateful to continue this journey, collaborate with creators around the world, and keep building something authentic that reflects my vision and values.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey is anything but ordinary. It has been—and continues to be—filled with unexpected turns, challenges, and moments that test my commitment to creating.
Those challenges are not just part of my past—they remain part of my life today. Every new stage brings new lessons, new uncertainties, and new opportunities to grow. Rather than seeing them as obstacles, I’ve learned to embrace them as an essential part of the creative journey.
No matter the circumstances, I never stop creating. I keep moving forward, learning, exploring, and trusting the process. Every challenge strengthens my character, expands my perspective, and reminds me why I chose this path.
For me, success isn’t measured by having an easy journey. It’s measured by staying true to my purpose and continuing to create with honesty, curiosity, and intention, regardless of what life brings. I believe that every challenge—past, present, and future—helps shape not only a better artist, but a better human being.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a multidisciplinary artist, music producer, DJ, visual creator and coach. My work brings together electronic music, visual art, movement, fashion, and immersive experiences into one creative language. Rather than focusing on a single genre or medium, I explore different forms of expression that connect with one another.
As Samādhi, I create music that ranges from deep, organic, and ambient soundscapes to house and techno. Each project has its own identity, but they all share the same intention: creating spaces where people from different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives can connect through creativity.
Alongside music, I create visual art and design wearable collections that extend the same artistic vision beyond sound. For me, creativity isn’t divided into separate disciplines—it’s one continuous expression that can take many forms.
Whether I’m creating music, painting, designing, or coaching, my goal remains the same: creating experiences that help people reconnect with themselves and with one another.
What I’m most proud of isn’t a single release or performance, but building an authentic creative world that continues to evolve. What sets me apart is my belief that art has the power to unite people. Whether someone comes from the electronic music scene, the art world, a festival community, or any walk of life, I want my work to create a shared experience where everyone feels welcome.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
inspired by books that explore creativity, philosophy, consciousness, and human potential. Some of the works that have had the greatest influence on me include:
• Tree and Sky Waltz: A Novel of Van Gogh by Jean-Michel Guenassia
• Hermeticism: The Ancient Wisdom of Hermes Trismegistus
• The I Ching (Book of Changes) by Lao Tzu
• The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche
Beyond books, I also find inspiration in music, nature, travel, meaningful conversations, and the creative process itself. I believe some of life’s greatest lessons come through direct experience, and I try to bring those experiences into everything I create.
