Daily Inspiration: Meet Ari Rose

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Ari Rose.

Ari Rose

Hi Ari, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Music and acting have always been part of my life!

I’ve been singing ever since I could speak, and acting since about the 4th grade. When I turned about 21 or 22, I began taking music a little more seriously, playing music out professionally and recording my first studio album.

With acting, I always did theater performances but my true passion was acting for film. In 2019 I told myself I would stop theater and go for film only. It’s been a great ride ever since! I can balance both pretty well.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Music has been way harder than acting. Some obstacles with music are people not getting back to me when trying to book gigs, people ghosting me, getting “shorted” on pay, being double booked, etc.

I feel like people don’t see or think about the things that go on behind the scenes. There are plenty more obstacles I could mention. I just kept on pushing through.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
When I’m not out there singing or acting, I’m behind a desk helping people with their homeowner’s insurance! I work for a small family-owned business that specializes in property/casualty insurance.

We focus mainly on homeowners insurance. Believe it or not, I actually really like my job. Every day is a new day. I’m always learning new things and facing challenges. I have great relationships with all my colleagues.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
Port Saint Lucie is quiet. It’s a nice place to start a family or live a simple “suburban life” (even though it’s technically a city) without all the chaos of a big city. I wouldn’t say I love it… But I don’t hate it either. What I like least about the city is that there isn’t anything to do here.

There are chain restaurants and some local dive bars… But that’s pretty much it. They’re growing, though. I know they’re trying — I heard a Dave and Busters is opening up soon. I also heard there’s a BMX skate park and a cat cafe opening up over the next few months! Things are looking up.
