Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Escudero.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature and the universe, but my artistic journey truly started 18 years ago after a transformative experience blending meditation and sensory deprivation. It shifted everything for me. I realized art could translate the clarity, insight, and awareness I felt into something visual that people could experience for themselves. Since then, my work has focused on expanding consciousness and celebrating the sacred power of nature. I want to inspire others to find their own balance between grounding and expansion, and to connect with a deeper sense of creativity, presence, and connection.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The path definitely hasn’t been smooth. As a full-time artist and a parent, there were years where I had to balance financial pressure, health challenges, and the responsibility of raising my kids while still trying to grow creatively. There were moments where I questioned whether I could keep going, but those challenges ended up sharpening my focus and deepening my purpose. Every setback pushed me to refine my craft, trust my vision, and stay connected to the reason I create in the first place. In the end, I came back stronger. This year has been my most successful yet, with sold-out shows, international collectors, and powerful new connections.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is a fusion of surreal landscapes, visionary portraits, cosmic imagery, and expressive texture. I create large-scale acrylic paintings and murals, often using sculpted surfaces and 3D texture to make the work feel alive and dimensional. I’m especially known for my galaxies, sky gradients, and textured environments that feel both grounded in nature and expanded into infinite space.
What sets my work apart is the intention behind it. Every piece is created to support deeper consciousness, connection, and presence. I focus heavily on color temperature, atmosphere, and subtle details that pull the viewer into a state of stillness, awe, or introspection. My unique style is also shaped by years of traveling internationally, teaching and practicing meditation, and painting alongside well-known artists who have influenced my evolution.
I’m most proud of my work from the last few years, after studying techniques from both the ancient masters and modern professionals. I tackled projects that challenged me to evolve quickly, and the work that came out of it is often mistaken for photography.
