Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Toro
Hi Alexandra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story with the fashion world was born a year and a half ago in a creative agency, as a professional I am a graphic designer but I have always liked the fashion part. Since I was very young I was in contact with the textile world and I was about to enter to study fashion but due to personal issues, I could not finish. When I faced in an agency, with the help of a person who at that time was a co-worker who later became my current partner, the whole project of the fashion studio came up. I started a year and a half ago to study everything I needed to know about the world of fashion in 3D because it was something I liked to do.
I grew up in that world where one created clothes for dolls and made them very colorful and favorable designs, when I started this project, I felt that I fulfilled a dream of my inner child where I could discover to create your own clothes and keep discovering.
Today, I am a 3D garment modeler certified by Style3D company and I am still in my learning process very happy.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was not an easy path, because even though I had been given the tools of how it worked, no one could help me to discover. It was something that I discovered autonomously with many tutorials, courses that helped me understand how it worked.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the moment, as I mentioned I am a graphic designer and I am creating all my specialization in the world of fashion. Currently I mention that I am a 3D fashion designer because it is something that I consider that has no limits and I can fly my imagination. What I am most proud of is that it is something I learned on my own, with a lot of effort and dedication. I feel that what defines me from others is my strength and creativity in everything I do and I don’t stop until I feel proud.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
My focus as a designer is aligned with emerging trends in the fashion and graphic design industry, especially in leveraging artificial intelligence and 3D technology to create unique and highly personalized visual experiences. I am convinced that in the next 5 to 10 years we will see a significant shift in how we design and conceptualize artwork and garments, thanks to the integration of innovative tools such as iWish and New Arc. These platforms are already revolutionizing the industry by providing realistic visualizations of garments prior to production, enabling greater detail accuracy and an immersive experience for customers.
By incorporating AI and 3D simulation technology, I envision my role as a designer evolving into comprehensive project management, where the use of predictive algorithms, real-time customization, and digital simulations enrich decision making, optimize resources, and shorten production cycles. My background and experience have prepared me to adapt to these advances, and I believe that being at the forefront of these technologies will be essential to deliver designs that not only visually captivate, but also respond to the customization and efficiency demands of the future market.
