Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Milton.
Hi Alexandra, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey began with very little except faith, vision, and an unshakable belief that I could build something meaningful. I moved to the United States with big dreams and no blueprint, and over the years I learned through experience, sacrifice, and resilience. What started as a small idea became Rose Café & Restaurant; a space designed not just to serve food, but to create connection, beauty, and purpose. I’ve always believed that hospitality is not about plates and tables, but about people. Today, I’m proud to say that Rose is not only a successful business, but also a reflection of my life philosophy — work with excellence, lead with heart, and never forget where you come from.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. The road has been anything but smooth. I’ve faced seasons where nothing made sense financially, emotionally, or structurally. There were moments of deep exhaustion, doubt, and fear—especially during times of expansion and risk. Building a business means carrying responsibility not only for yourself, but also for others’ livelihoods. I’ve had to learn how to recover from loss, make hard decisions quickly, and stand firm when everything around me felt uncertain. The struggles shaped my leadership. They taught me resilience, humility, and the power of faith in motion.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Over the past 18 months, Alexandra Milton has transformed Rose Cafe from a boutique cafe into a full fine-dining Mediterranean-Italian restaurant offering an immersive culinary experience until 11 p.m. nightly.
She successfully led the architectural expansion, brand redesign, and operational restructuring of the business, growing the team from 12 to over 40 employees and tripling monthly revenue. Under her leadership, Rose Cafe became a model of community-driven hospitality, partnering with Joshua’s Heart Foundation and The Agape Network’s “Seeds of Faith” program, integrating purpose and compassion into the business model. In addition, Alexandra implemented a professional development program for her team focused on leadership, wellness, and empowerment, positioning Rose Cafe as a workplace that nurtures both excellence and human growth. Alexandra’s philosophy is “love with purpose.” Through Rose Cafe, she created a bridge between business and social impact, helping women in recovery from domestic violence, addiction, and incarceration through the Seeds of Faith rehabilitation program from the Agape Network foundation. She also collaborates with Joshua’s Heart Foundation, providing resources and meals for underprivileged families in South Florida. Additionally, Alexandra mentors young women entrepreneurs, sharing her story of perseverance and leadership to inspire others to pursue purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Yes, look for alignment before prestige. A mentor doesn’t have to be the most famous person in the room, but someone who lives the values you aspire to embody. Be genuine, be curious, and always come ready to learn. Networking is not about collecting contacts, it’s about building relationships. Show up with intention. Listen more than you speak. And remember; sometimes the doors you pray for open because of the people you treat with kindness along the way.
