Today, we’d like to introduce you to Agustina Garcia Laredo.
Hi Agustina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1979. I fell in love with my now-husband, who was already living in Miami while I was still in Buenos Aires.
We decided to take the next step, so I moved to Miami one year after we met. My personal and intimate condition was that I would get to Miami with a job! So, I decided to knock on a few doors before my trip and propose to a family friend to set up his business in the US. He agreed to sponsor my visa, and everything slightly changed after that move.
A couple of years later, after we got married, I just wanted to make a change. My degree was in fashion design, but I did not pursue that path for the past three years. So, I was in limbo without any fresh “fashion” activity or trends. Finally, I worked for the next nine years for a beautiful brand I loved and thank daily. Babycottons. A high-end baby and children’s clothing brand that allowed me to grow, expand, and learn every single step until I became CEO of the US market.
In 2019, I launched Land in the US; after 14 years of learning and living the never-ending “growing” and “expanding” Miami, it was time for me to go solo. I had two beautiful and amazing kids, Bautista and Emilia, and it was time for me to finally build something with my ideas, schedules, and preferences.
I am forever grateful for every step I take personally while growing and learning. I work very hard daily to provide my clients security and respect for their plans. Every detail aspect during their business setup runs by me, but fortunately, I have an amazing net of vendors who work as hard. Their professionalism is what makes Land in the US great and successful.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been smooth. I have been through a few struggles, bumps, ups, and downs. But like a wave…. whenever it falls, it always comes back again.
A few retrospective moments, misunderstandings, and worries are always part of us humans when we want to change. But it also makes a stronger and even more successful later on.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe you can tell us more about your work next?
My degree is in Fashion Design, so my artistic face is always present.
Even when I became a consultant, I always liked to bring my creative ideas to every client, brand, or way of doing things.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am very pushy and determined.
I am also very optimistic, and usually, things end up happening as I imagined them. I believe that this quality is what brought me here today. I love talking to people and bringing them comfort and security.
