We’re looking forward to introducing you to Crys ASMR. Check out our conversation below.
Crys, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What battle are you avoiding?
I honestly don’t want to avoid any battles. Avoiding myself is probably the last thing i want to experience. My triggers, my beliefs is what shapes my choices good or bad therefore when I am not happy about an experience, I want to embrace it and learn from it.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, my name is Crystal. I’m a dedicated and motivated individual with a strong interest in personal growth and building meaningful connections. In my free time, I enjoy relaxing with ASMR, create ASMR videos to my audience because we all need to relax, I like visiting the beach, and exploring different types of food and culture. My hobbies help me stay balanced, creative, and open-minded — qualities I bring into both my personal and professional life.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
As a child, I was extremely free spirited and used my imagination all day. I didn’t have any fear and care about what other think. I was hyper, energetic, Id actually pretend i was a runaway model or an actress with millions of dollar and married, i even said I have a Cadillac, I mean really I was a go getter even when I didn’t even know the knowledge of “work”. I have so many stories. HAHA. I feel like school changed me, teachers, students, I lost that little me especially middle school.. as I got older I learnt how life has rules and that’s something my inner child never agreed upon. At this time, I’m going back to little me and listening to her every day because I know she is guiding me. Society doesn’t have a authority who i have to be. That’s why I make my own rules.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
My old version of me wanted control and evidence that whatever I wanted, was there but I needed proof first in order to believe in it so it did held me back because that’s lack and not trust. Trusting the unseen was uncomfortable but I no longer resonate with that fear, I had moments where I needed to really surrender and that’s where everything was flowing back to me, I was in my receiving mode.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’d say my success in ASMR. There was a reason why i started and like anything in life, sometimes you may need a rest, or reset but I do keep going, I’ve always heard how content creation isn’t really a job, and how its just a hobby but i defend what I do and what I believe on. Going after what you want isn’t a easy step but you just do it especially if you like it. I dont really care about numbers but I care if I’m happy and the connections I make with my supporters and brands. If I keep going is because there’s a future that my success has happened.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m doing what I’m born to do, I already did what i was told to do before and i never felt like it was for me. I was unhappy.
