Conversations with Veronika Voskalchuk

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronika Voskalchuk.

Hi Veronika, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Since I was a child, I have always been passionate about dancing, and as a result, ballroom dancing has been a significant part of my life. I have been dancing for as long as I can remember, and it has always been a way for me to express myself and connect with others. However, as a professional ballroom dancer, I have had to make many sacrifices to stay at the top of my game. Like any pro athlete, I have to compete all the time, and I have put in countless hours of practice and training.

But despite the challenges, I feel grateful for everything that dancing has given me: high energy, good health, and a sense of accomplishment that is hard to match. Dancing isn’t just a hobby or a sport for me—it’s a passion that has shaped my whole life. Now, I am thrilled to share my love and passion for ballroom dancing with the people of Miami. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of dancing, which is why I want to provide a friendly and healthy environment for people of all backgrounds.

Whether you’ve never danced before or you’re already as passionate about it as I am, I want to create a space where you can learn, have fun, and enhance your life. Dancing is not just a physical activity, but also an emotional and mental one, and I want to help people discover the many benefits that dancing can bring to their lives. So, if you’re ready to take the first step, come join me on the dance floor!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My dancing career was far from being a smooth ride. There were times when I faced struggles and challenges that made me question my passion for dancing. However, the joy of dancing and a clear goal helped me overcome those obstacles. I also had an amazing support system that surrounded me throughout my career. My husband and dance partner, Alexander, has been my rock and my biggest cheerleader.

My parents have always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and have been there for me every step of the way. And my dance teachers have played a crucial role in shaping me into the dancer I am today. I am forever grateful for the people who have believed in me and supported me on my journey to becoming a dancer. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today, running my dance studio and sharing my passion with others.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Definitely what sets me apart from others is my deep love and passion for dancing. I truly believe that dancing is more than just a physical activity – it’s a form of self-expression and a way to connect with others on a deeper level. I have always had a natural ability to spot talent in others, and I take great joy in helping my students discover their potential and develop their skills.

I pride myself on being able to tailor my approach to different people, taking into account their unique strengths and weaknesses to help them achieve their goals. My teaching is just as important to me as my dancing, and I am constantly seeking to improve my methods and techniques to give my students the best possible experience.

In addition to my titles and awards, I am incredibly proud of the achievements of my students, many of whom have gone on to win World and USA titles. Seeing their growth and success is truly the most rewarding part of my job.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
When it comes to the credits for my successful dancing and teaching career, I have to give the first and biggest credit to my parents. They have been my pillars of support from the very beginning, investing in my talent and doing everything in their power to help me continue my dancing. From driving me to endless classes and rehearsals to funding my dance education and competitions, they never once wavered in their belief in me. Their unwavering support and encouragement gave me the confidence and motivation I needed to pursue my dreams and become the dancer and teacher that I am today.

I truly owe everything to them, and I am forever grateful for their love and sacrifice. Another big credit for my successful dancing and teaching career goes to my husband – my partner in life and on the dance floor. He has been a constant source of inspiration and motivation for me, always pushing me to be the best version of myself and to strive for greatness. Through his unwavering support and love, he has taught me to believe in myself and never give up on my dreams. He has also helped me to cultivate a strong sense of gratitude for everything that I have, both in my personal and professional life. I feel incredibly blessed to have him by my side, and I know that I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.
