Conversations with Stefany Blanco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefany Blanco.

Hi Stefany , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Stefany “Fefa” Blanco, I was born in Caracas and Miami has been home for the last seven years. My story really starts when life pushed me to reinvent myself. Like many immigrants, I arrived here with uncertainty, a lot of dreams, and no clear map just the feeling that I was meant for something different, something creative, something mine.

The camera came into my life almost by accident, but it became the place where I finally felt like myself. I didn’t study film formally, I learned by doing by observing people, by feeling life, by trying to capture moments that had emotion inside them. Every project, every client, every opportunity was a step I built from zero, with discipline, curiosity and faith.

At first, I was just trying to survive. But little by little, I started creating a world.
I filmed restaurants, events, festivals, weddings… anything that allowed me to grow and keep the dream alive. Miami gave me spaces I never imagined from working at Ultra and III Points to creating visuals for incredible brands and meeting people who trusted my vision even before I fully trusted it myself.

Today I run Fefa Films, my creative home and the place where I turn feelings into visuals. I love capturing real moments, real energy, real humanity. My work is emotional, cinematic and honest because it comes from the same place I come from resilience, transformation, and this deep desire to create something meaningful.

I’m still evolving, traveling, learning, and discovering who I am as an artist and as a woman. But if there’s something that defines my story, it’s that I’ve built everything with corazón, with courage, and with the belief that being a dreamer is a strength, not a weakness.

My journey is far from over this is just the part where things start getting really good.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. When I first arrived in Miami, I spent years working in restaurants, cafés, and babysitting doing whatever I needed to keep going and figure out my place in a new country. At that time, I had no idea I would end up in the creative world.

Those years came with uncertainty, financial stress, and a lot of moments where I felt lost or disconnected from myself. But they taught me resilience, discipline, and how to rebuild my life from zero. Little by little, I learned, took risks, and eventually found my way into filmmaking.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a filmmaker and photographer based in Miami, and I specialize in creating emotional, cinematic visuals for brands, restaurants, events, weddings, and artists. Through Fefa Films, my focus is to capture real energy the moments, the people, the atmosphere and turn them into something that feels alive.

What sets my work apart is the intention behind it. I don’t just film to document; I film to make people feel something. I pay attention to the small details the lighting, the movement, the emotion in someone’s eyes, the way a space breathes. My style is a mix of raw, intimate, and cinematic, influenced by real life and the way I personally experience the world.

I’m proud of the journey I’ve built from scratch and the opportunities that came with it creating visuals for restaurants around Miami, collaborating with brands, and working at festivals like Ultra, III Points and LoveBurn. But what I’m most proud of is the impact my work has on people. When someone tells me my video made them cry, remember a moment, or see themselves differently that’s when I know I’m doing what I’m meant to do.

What sets me apart is my ability to blend emotion and aesthetics. My work isn’t just pretty; it has intention, soul, and storytelling. I’m always evolving, learning, and pushing myself creatively, and my goal is to keep growing, travel the world with my camera, and tell stories that stay with people.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is creating impact connecting with people through my work and making them feel something real. Every person I film teaches me something: their energy, their story, the way they move through life. I learn from them, and that connection is what inspires me the most.

I care about capturing moments that stay with people, moments they can look back at and feel proud of, emotional about, or simply seen. That’s why I do what I do. It’s not just visuals it’s the human part of it. The growth, the lessons, and the way my work can reflect someone’s essence. That’s what matters to me.
