Today we’d like to introduce you to Sofi.
Hi Sofi , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey has been shaped by creativity, resilience, and reinvention. I began in the fashion and modeling world, where I developed discipline and confidence, while art remained a constant my way of processing, creating, and grounding myself.
After becoming a mother, my focus shifted toward wellness and healing. Pilates entered my life during a period of rebuilding my relationship with my body and quickly became a foundation for strength and self-trust. I went on to become a certified classical mat Pilates instructor, teaching in a way that’s accessible and community-driven.
Today, I work at the intersection of art and wellness, creating experiences that blend movement, creativity, and connection. What began as personal healing has evolved into building spaces where people feel empowered, present, and inspired.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but the challenges shaped the work I do today. Navigating creative industries while becoming a mother required redefining success and learning to trust my own pace. I faced moments of self-doubt, financial uncertainty, and the pressure to fit into traditional boxes that never fully aligned with who I am.
Building something community-driven also meant doing a lot on my own learning through trial, staying consistent without guarantees, and choosing authenticity over shortcuts. Each obstacle clarified my vision and reinforced the importance of creating work that feels intentional, sustainable, and true to me.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an artist and wellness creative whose work centers on movement, presence, and community. Through Pilates with Friends, I’ve created a space where Pilates becomes more than a workout it’s a shared experience rooted in connection, accessibility, and intentional movement.
What sets my work apart is the community-first approach. Pilates with Friends isn’t about exclusivity or perfection; it’s about showing up as you are and moving together. It’s my signature offering and the foundation of my creative practice where wellness feels human, grounding, and genuinely transformative.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I believe risk is part of honoring the life you’re given. You can plan carefully and still never feel fully ready, so at some point you have to trust yourself and take the step. Every meaningful shift in my life has come from choosing growth over comfort.
Not every risk works out, and that’s okay. I believe in dusting yourself off, learning, and trying again without rushing the process. It’s your life, and you’re allowed to move at your own pace while still choosing courage. For me, risk isn’t reckless; it’s intentional, grounded, and led by trust.
