Conversations with Shawn Snow

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shawn Snow.

Hi Shawn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Grew up in South Florida in North Miami Beach, Miami Beach and now Hollywood for the last 18 years plus. I always wanted to start my own company since an early age. It was never about the money for me. It was more about finding my place in life, doing something that I would be able to support my family while at the same time provide useful needed service to the marketplace. My background is in the Construction and Real Estate industries. Before starting this company I worked for a Construction company for many years doing many needed tasks such as office administration work, visiting jobsites and instructing workers, etc. One day my boss stopped outsourcing permit work and we would now do it inhouse and I was put in charge of that. I had to learn everything about permits by being thrown into it and going to the cites and learn by trial and error. Almost every time I went to the cities there was some issue and it was a very frustrating and stressful situation. Once I stopped taking it personally and embraced that I had no choice but to move forward, Thank G-d it started to click and city workers started to help get through it. I was relentless to not blame them and just focus on the solution. Those early growing pains allowed me to understand the challenges that property owners, contractors and everyone else that deals with the government goes through and now I could make a business from this.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I have always from an early age been involved in some kind of businesses gig or trying something. In college, I tried certain small business gigs and then afterwards while working for others in my free time I would always be working on something of my own. I have learned in life that not everyone will see the vision and we need to stop asking for others for approval before we start something new. It is better to start something on a small scale and see how the marketplace will react. This test will decide if there is a market for the product or service. Early on in my life I would seek validation from others closest to me and ask for their opinion on a business concept at that time and would be laughed or criticized. They themselves who are not business owners would crush my dreams. Thank G-d have been able to get past these struggles and having business success and moving in the right direction.

To always work on the services that we are providing and think of ways to be more efficient and transparent to the client so they are also getting an education at the same time.
