Hi Patti, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into the bridal world began over a decade ago when I became co-owner of Wonderland Bridal – a bridal boutique that I’ve helped grow for the past 12 years. Being immersed in that environment gave me a deep understanding of not just gowns, but brides—their emotions, their expectations, and all the little details that matter leading up to the wedding day. Over time, I naturally became the go-to person for everything beyond the sale—helping brides with fittings, styling, and making sure their gowns looked and felt perfect.
Through those experiences, I started to notice a gap in the wedding day itself. Brides had beautiful gowns, but often didn’t have someone dedicated to managing, prepping, and caring for them in those final, high-pressure moments. That’s what inspired me to create Your Bridal Bestie, a bridal valet and wardrobe concierge service designed to support brides behind the scenes—steaming & prepping gowns, assisting with dressing, managing wardrobe changes, and making sure every detail is photo-ready.
Today, I’m combining years of hands-on bridal experience with a more personalized, service-driven approach. My goal is to give brides peace of mind so they can fully enjoy their day, knowing someone they trust is there to take care of everything when it comes to their gown and overall look.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Overall, I would say it’s been a pretty smooth road, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. A big part of that has been the support from my fellow wedding professional friends and the amazing brides who have trusted me with such an important part of their day. That kind of trust is something I never take lightly, and it’s really helped me build confidence in stepping into this new role.
Of course, like any new venture, there have been moments of figuring things out as I go—especially transitioning from a more traditional retail bridal environment into a service-based, on-site experience. Shifting my mindset from selling gowns to providing a hands-on, behind-the-scenes service took some adjustment, along with defining my offerings, pricing, and educating clients on what a bridal valet actually is.
There’s also the balance of continuing to be part of an established business while building something of my own, which requires a lot of intention and time management. But overall, the journey has felt very aligned. Each wedding, each connection, and each opportunity has reinforced that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be, doing something I truly love.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder of Your Bridal Bestie, a bridal valet and wardrobe concierge service designed to support brides on their wedding day in a truly hands-on, personal way. I specialize in everything gown-related from steaming and prepping the dress to assisting the bride in getting dressed, styling the train and veil, managing wardrobe changes, and making sure every detail is picture-perfect from start to finish.
What I’m known for is being that calming, dependable presence behind the scenes. I step in during those high-energy, emotional moments and make sure the bride feels taken care of, comfortable, and confident. It’s not just about the dress—it’s about the entire experience and allowing the bride to be fully present without worrying about the little things.
What I’m most proud of is the trust my brides and fellow vendors place in me. Being invited into such an intimate part of someone’s wedding day is incredibly special, and I don’t take that lightly. I’ve built strong relationships within the wedding community, and that support has been everything.
What sets me apart is my background. Having spent over a decade in the bridal boutique world, I bring a level of expertise that goes beyond just handling a gown—I understand construction, fit, fabrics, and how a dress is meant to move and photograph. I’m also very detail-oriented and proactive, often anticipating needs before they arise. My goal is always to make the bride feel like she has a trusted best friend by her side, someone who truly has her back every step of the way.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memories are the family vacations my parents planned for my siblings and me, especially the camping trips back home in Chile. We would sometimes spend up to a month at a private campground just a short walk from the beach—pitching tents, sleeping in sleeping bags, and fully embracing a slower, simpler way of living.
I remember watching my dad over the many BBQs he cooked for us, while my mom created those calm, easy mornings and relaxed evenings that made everything feel so special. There were bonfires, beach days, and just a sense of togetherness that I’ll always hold onto. Those moments shaped my love for simplicity, family, and being present.
