Today we’d like to introduce you to Ozan Hosgor.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Looking back, my path to Miami real estate wasn’t exactly typical. For years, I worked in high-tech medical education, specifically inside operating rooms providing surgical support and training doctors on brain implant technologies. It was a world where there was absolutely zero room for error, requiring extreme discipline and an analytical mindset.
A few years ago, I decided to take that exact same ‘zero error’ philosophy and apply it to real estate investment. Transitioning to the US was an easy choice, especially since my family has been living here for about 25 years.
But when I started, I knew I didn’t want to be just another generic agent flashing a smile on business cards. I wanted to focus on the numbers, the ROI, and the actual strategy behind luxury and commercial assets. Today, I help high-net-worth investors both locally and internationally, navigate Miami’s residential market, hotel investments, and short-term rental portfolios.
Coming from brain implants to South Florida real estate might sound like a wild jump, but to me, the core is exactly the same: analyzing the data, cutting through the noise, and executing flawlessly for the client.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not. Moving across the world and shifting from a highly structured medical field to the fast-paced Miami real estate market meant starting from scratch.
The biggest challenge was adjusting to the environment. In the operating room, everything is predictable and objective. Miami real estate, on the other hand, is high-octane and filled with noise. I had to learn the local sub-markets inside out, master complex local regulations, and build a network in a city where everyone seems to have a license.
At first, people were skeptical when they heard about my past career, they’d ask, ‘Why are you in real estate now?’ It took time to show investors that my background wasn’t a distraction, but my unfair advantage. I don’t rely on generic marketing hype; I rely on precise data.
Cutting through that noise and proving that a highly disciplined, analytical approach is exactly what high-net-worth clients need in a chaotic market was tough, but it’s what sets me apart today
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Miami’s luxury residential market, hotel investments, and cash-flow-generating short-term rentals. My day-to-day work isn’t about just showing pretty houses; it’s about analyzing market data, identifying under-market-value opportunities, and managing complex asset logistics for high-net-worth investors, particularly from international markets like Turkey and Europe.
What I am most known for and what sets me apart is my absolute refusal to use generic, cliché real estate sales tactics. Because of my background in high-tech medical education and surgical support, I treat real estate with the same precision as an operating room. I don’t sell emotions; I sell data, strict ROI calculations, and risk mitigation. If the numbers don’t make sense, I tell my clients to walk away. That level of transparency is rare in this industry.
I am most proud of the trust I’ve built globally in a very short time. For instance, organizing a major investment launch event in Istanbul to present Miami’s potential, or successfully managing rental portfolios, proves that our structured approach works. Investors don’t just want an agent; they want a strategic partner who speaks the language of numbers and global market trends, and that is exactly what I deliver.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I grew up on the Aegean coast of Turkey, during a time before the digital world took over. It was a childhood spent entirely outdoors, playing on the streets until the sun went down.
My absolute favorite memories are those summer evenings, running around with friends, feeling the cool Aegean breeze after a hot day, and just enjoying that pure sense of freedom.
When I look back, that period taught me how to connect with people naturally, face-to-face, without screens. It gave me a grounded perspective on life. Today, living in Miami, whenever I feel the warm evening breeze by the ocean, it instantly takes me back to those simple, beautiful summer nights of my childhood.
