Today we’d like to introduce you to Moses A. DeVeaux.
Hi Moses A., we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Evolution of NUFusion Miami: From 2015 to 2026 ( THE M.A.D.MAN MOSES )
NUFusion Miami was created from a vision of artistic independence, collaboration, and cultural fusion. The movement officially began in 2015 through the creative partnership of Moses Asher DeVeaux, professionally known as THE M.A.D.MAN MOSES, and Jefferson Adam Joseph. Together, they formed the foundation of what would become one of Miami’s most unique independent music collectives.
The first sound that truly defined the NUFusion movement came through the formation of The UnCanny Reservoir, a band created by Jefferson Adam Joseph and THE M.A.D.MAN MOSES in 2015. From the beginning, both artists shared a common understanding: they wanted complete creative control over their music, performances, recordings, publishing, merchandise, and touring. This vision led to the creation of their respective companies: MEANONE Productions LLC, founded and operated by Moses Asher DeVeaux, and Miami Mojo Entertainment, founded and operated by Jefferson Adam Joseph.
Born and raised in Miami-Dade County, Florida, both founders built their companies within the city that shaped their artistic identities. Over the years, they collaborated with countless musicians, recording artists, performers, producers, and creatives throughout South Florida. Their dedication to independent artistry and collective growth eventually developed into what is now recognized as the MEANONE Productions Collective, a network of artists and creators working across multiple forms of entertainment.
Since 2015, under the leadership and creative direction of Moses Asher DeVeaux, MEANONE Productions LLC has expanded beyond music into multimedia entertainment, developing numerous artistic, musical, and film projects. Among these projects is Enemies of the Power (E.O.T.P.), a Miami-based NUFusion hip-hop collective that officially released its debut project in November 2025. Another major project is Elephants Palace, an experimental jazz and fusion collective launched in February 2026, bringing together poets, vocalists, musicians, and performance artists from across the Miami creative community.
At the center of the NUFusion movement remains The UnCanny Reservoir, whose evolution has helped define the sound and philosophy of the genre itself. In 2026, the band released its third studio album, Land for the Promised, representing over a decade of artistic growth, experimentation, and dedication to independent music culture.
Throughout this journey, THE M.A.D.MAN MOSES has remained committed to maintaining complete creative ownership by keeping production in-house. This includes operations through One Eighty Twelve Film Studios, which oversees film and visual productions, as well as the MEANONE Network, a media platform responsible for podcasts, broadcasts, and other entertainment programming.
Today, in 2026, NUFusion Miami has evolved beyond a musical genre. It represents a creative movement rooted in artistic freedom, collaboration, cultural diversity, and independent ownership. What began as a partnership between two Miami artists in 2015 has grown into a collective of musicians, filmmakers, performers, and creators dedicated to pushing artistic boundaries while remaining true to their community and creative vision.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. Building NUFusion Miami and creating what eventually became the MEANONE Productions collective was never an easy road. When we first started in 2015, we were simply a group of artists from Miami-Dade County who believed that we could create something different and maintain ownership of our own art. We didn’t have major labels, major investors, or a blueprint to follow. What we had was a vision, dedication, and a willingness to learn through experience.
There were many challenges over the years, including financial struggles, balancing personal responsibilities, building a business from the ground up, and overcoming the difficulties that come with being independent artists. We had to learn not only how to create music, but also how to manage publishing, distribution, merchandising, live performances, studio production, and business operations.
There were also moments of growth, setbacks, creative differences, and periods where projects slowed down or evolved into something completely different. But those challenges ultimately shaped what NUFusion Miami has become today. Every obstacle taught us something valuable about independence, collaboration, and perseverance.
What makes me most proud is that despite all of those challenges, we stayed committed to our original vision. We continued building our companies, developing new artists and projects, and creating opportunities for ourselves and our community. Looking back now in 2026, I can honestly say that it was never an easy road, but it was absolutely a worthwhile one.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As an artist, producer, composer, filmmaker, and entrepreneur, I’ve spent the last decade building a creative ecosystem that allows independent artists to create without limitations. Professionally, I’m known as THE M.A.D.MAN MOSES, and I’m the founder and creative director of MEANONE Productions LLC, which I established to provide complete creative control over music, film, publishing, live performances, and multimedia projects.
My specialty has always been blending genres and artistic disciplines into what we now call NUFusion Miami. Rather than fitting into one category, I’ve always believed that music and art should reflect the complexity of human experience. My work combines elements of hip-hop, jazz, alternative rock, blues, soul, experimental music, spoken word, film, and performance art. Over the years, I’ve worked as a songwriter, producer, recording artist, guitarist, composer, creative director, and executive producer across multiple projects.
Many people know me through projects such as The UnCanny Reservoir, which helped establish the NUFusion sound beginning in 2015. Others know my work through projects like Enemies of the Power (E.O.T.P.), Elephants Palace, my solo work as THE M.A.D.MAN MOSES, and the various film and media productions developed through One Eighty Twelve Film Studios and the MEANONE Network.
What I’m most proud of isn’t necessarily a single album, performance, or project. What I’m most proud of is building something independently and creating opportunities not only for myself, but for other artists from Miami and beyond. We’ve built a collective where musicians, filmmakers, poets, performers, and creators can collaborate while maintaining ownership of their work and their artistic identity.
I believe what sets me apart from others is that I don’t view art as separate categories. I see music, film, visual art, storytelling, and performance as parts of one larger creative experience. I’ve also remained committed to keeping our production process in-house whenever possible, allowing us to maintain artistic integrity and creative freedom.
At the end of the day, I’m not trying to fit into an existing industry model. I’m trying to build something that reflects who we are, where we come from, and what independent artistry can become. NUFusion Miami isn’t just a genre—it’s a philosophy, a movement, and a community. And in 2026, I believe we’re only beginning to realize its full potential.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I’ve always believed that every meaningful creative decision involves some level of risk. As an independent artist, producer, and business owner, I’ve learned that if you’re trying to create something original, there really isn’t a safe path. Risk becomes part of the process.
One of the biggest risks I ever took was deciding to remain independent and build my own companies instead of waiting for opportunities from established industry systems. When I founded MEANONE Productions LLC, the goal wasn’t simply to release music—it was to create a platform where artists could maintain ownership of their work, their publishing, their image, and their creative direction. That decision required investing years of time, energy, finances, and personal sacrifice without any guarantee of success.
Another major risk was creating and committing to the concept of NUFusion Miami itself. We weren’t trying to fit into a popular genre or follow trends. We were blending hip-hop, jazz, rock, experimental music, spoken word, film, and performance art into something that didn’t really have a clear category. There were many moments when people didn’t understand what we were building, but we believed that originality was worth the risk.
I’ve also taken risks by expanding beyond music into film, multimedia production, live performance, podcasting, and creative collective development through projects like The UnCanny Reservoir, Enemies of the Power, Elephants Palace, One Eighty Twelve Film Studios, and the MEANONE Network. Each new venture involved stepping into unfamiliar territory and learning through experience.
My perspective on risk has evolved over the years. I don’t think of risk as recklessness. I think of it as having enough belief in your vision to continue pursuing it even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed. Every major accomplishment I’ve experienced has come from taking a chance on an idea, a project, or a creative direction that others may not have fully understood at the time.
Looking back now in 2026, I don’t regret the risks I’ve taken. If anything, the biggest risk would have been never trying at all. Everything we’ve built—from NUFusion Miami to the MEANONE Productions collective—exists because we were willing to take a chance on ourselves.
