Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Myers.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started doing hair in 2010 and opened Mr BarberSpa salon for men in 2015 where there were no other salons specifically for men at that time. My first location was in Orlando Fl . My story isn’t a story of success but of survival and resilience. I faced many challenges in business from corporate and spiritual warfare, pushing me out of Orlando ultimately and my personal life was affected as well , went through a divorce and second marriage, he died so then I moved to south Florida to start over. After working on palm beach island then starting a non profit I finally found a location to resurrect Mr BarberSpa again. I am in the process of getting it open in the final stage. After all the personal and business setbacks, I give all credit and glory to God, my kids are my motivation and helping people look and feel their best as I incorporate all health and Wellness, organic/non toxic products and services to my clients.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As I wrote in the previous post no it hasn’t been a smooth ride. Most of it personal as most entrepreneurs it’s a lonely journey, everything starts with the founder, owner ,CEO and if your personal life crumbles so does your business. I didn’t know a lot when I started but looking back all of my problems were based off spiritual warfare and witchcraft, if you know you know but I wasn’t aware of what I was fighting up against until I went through a deliverance in 2029 then my eyes opened, I got saved and born again. Life then took more turns but I had help this time. I will leave out a lot but now I’m on the right path with a clear vision. I’m widowed so it’s not easy being alone but as far as business is concerned I have more experience I seek wisdom and I have a plan for success. To be continued follow me. I am a healer not a hairdresser. I use my gifts to help people from the core and root of their problems. Doing hair just opened people up to talk to me so I can help them
I am most proud of using non toxic hair color that’s safe and doesn’t cause cancer. I make the hair products I use and I feel confident in knowing that me and the client are not in danger of toxic chemicals and ingredients that damage our health inside or outside
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I make the hair products at the salon. I can also customize products for each individual. I also practice a healthy lifestyle and I make detox and cleanse supplements as well
