Hi Melvin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started through birth honestly. It’s always been something I was born with . Sounds sarcastically put but that’s the reality of it . To better understand what I mean . It’s been an idea I was always born with . The name Blvckhart Co. originates from the concept of birth. We all come from the unknown . We all lived in a womb for 9 months. That’s where we get all our nourishments and are birth into the light which defines blvckhart co . Blvck – comes from the unknown and being comfortable in it .. Heart ( hart ) – comes from the mustard seed. Which is a double entendre for the flowers blooming out the vessels of the heart .
To be able to trust yourself in uncertainty breeds true confidence. I created my clothing brand with the message of confidence’s and being able to wear it . Being bold and daring to be yourself in the unknown and to trust it . That’s how you learn the most about yourself .That’s what fashion is all about. Trusting your journey every step of the way .
Willing to be emotional and vulnerable . Which is all apart of being a creative and an artist .
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Never been a smooth road . The biggest challenge is myself. No one will be able to appreciate the art if I don’t appreciate it as much or more . Why I’ve learned to appreciate the journey more than the destination and only control what you can control .

Blvckhart Co . Is my clothing brand that embodies spirituality and fashion through life. I’m a creative imprinting my vision within the world .
I specialize in creativity . Starting first with Blvckhart Co . Then Modeling , fitness , sports , music , dance, videography and photography.
I’m most proud of my authenticity and my journey coming from Haiti . I have no prime, Im only getting better every year. I appreciate everyone that’s been along the ride so far.

What I love best about our city is the fact that we’re multi cultural and creative . What I like the least is the lack of support and identity . It’s been better as of late and it’s only going to get better. I honestly believe there’s room and opportunity for everyone to prosper.
