Conversations with Lovester Montgomery III

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lovester Montgomery III.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
What truly makes someone an asset? With training, anyone can learn a skill—but every now and then you come across a rare gem who naturally embodies excellence. A leader who doesn’t just talk the talk but lives by his slogan: “Think it, DONE.”

With a passion for Graphic Design, employee relations, event Coordinating, team building, upward advancement, and growth, Lovester Montgomery III has mastered the art of bringing people together while driving success forward. His ability to show each and every team member that they are valued is more than leadership—it’s a blueprint for lasting impact

“Love,” as he’s affectionately known, decided one night while conversing with lifelong friends that he wanted to start a business. Love never liked the idea of calling it a “small business” — he’s always thought bigger. And in 2019, Love Creations and Graphics LLC (LCGLLC) was born.

New to the world of design, Love dedicated countless hours to mastering his craft — experimenting with new looks, developing creative sale ideas, and ensuring his company remained relevant and always part of the conversation. Just six months after launching, the pandemic struck. While many were uncertain about the future, Love saw it as an opportunity to dig deeper into his passion. During that time, he opened his first office space and began creating on a full-time basis.

“I hate the idea of limits,” Love often says. So he set out to ensure that when you came to him — not even the sky was the limit.

For five years, Love successfully ran his business full-time. But in 2023, tragedy struck. On his way to speak at a community vision board event, Love received a call that his condo was on fire. Within two hours, everything he had built was gone. As he worked to rebuild, heartbreak hit again — his beloved 16-year-old daughter passed away in a fatal car accident.

The will to continue was almost impossible to find, yet Love refused to give up. Seeking purpose and healing, in August 2024 he returned to corporate America, reconnecting with his background in HR and personnel. By December, he was working full-time again — this time at a rehabilitation facility dedicated to helping individuals overcome addiction and reintegrate into society.

This role carries deep meaning for Love. His late father struggled with addiction, and working in this environment allows him to feel connected to his father’s journey while making a difference in others’ lives. Through his work, Love merges his HR expertise with his creative talents — helping with branding, promotion, and innovative employment initiatives that support recovery and growth.

Today, Love continues to embody his personal mantra:
“Think it, DONE.”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For five years, Love successfully ran his business full-time. But in January 2023, tragedy struck. On his way to speak at a community vision board event, Love received a devastating call — his condo was on fire. Within two hours, everything he had built was gone.

As he began the process of rebuilding, heartbreak struck again. Just six months after the fire, Love’s beloved 16-year-old daughter tragically passed away in a car accident. He laid her to rest the day after his birthday.

Despite the unimaginable pain, Love found the strength to keep moving forward. He continued to create, to motivate others, and to find light even in the darkest moments. As he often says, “I keep surviving my bad days — so I gotta keep going.”

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Love does a little bit of everything and his journey started long before Love Creations and Graphics ever existed. At just 14 years old, he attended a wedding rehearsal with his aunt. The wedding party had no idea how to decorate, and his aunt turned to him and said, “L-Jay, what can you do?” She saw something in him that he didn’t yet see in himself.

Love got to work decorating, and when the bride walked in, she burst into tears of joy. That moment sparked something in him a love for creating beauty, emotion, and unforgettable experiences. From then on, he began decorating small family events and helping friends, learning the tricks and trades of the craft at a young age.

As he grew older, his creativity expanded. Being a bigger guy, finding “cool” clothes wasn’t always easy until one day, a simple mistake with bleach turned into a masterpiece. That accident became a revelation: he could create his own style.

Realizing that all his passions design, fashion, coordination, and creativity worked hand in hand, Love continued to perfect his hobbies until they became his full-time work.

Today, from wedding planning to graphic design, event coordination, consulting, day-of planning, stationery creation, logo design, business plans, and even singing, Love truly does it all.

He’s proud that, no matter what life has thrown his way, he continues to push forward. What sets him apart is simple — he leads his business and his life from the heart, with a heart for people.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The characteristics I bring are heartfelt and true — if it comes out of my mouth, it’s from my heart. That’s what makes LCG stand out from the rest. For years, I’ve shared my knowledge with others, teaching what I know and giving back to my community — even in times when I had nothing to give but myself.

Love Creations and Graphics isn’t just a business; it’s a reflection of who I am — built on passion, purpose, and the belief that when you lead with heart, everything else falls into place.
