Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Nicole Jordan.
Hi Lauren Nicole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my career in digital marketing over 14 years ago, back when social media was still being treated as an “extra” rather than a true business driver. I’ve always been fascinated by the power of community, storytelling, and how brands can create emotional connections with people online. Early in my career, I worked across fashion, hospitality, and beauty, building experience in content strategy, influencer marketing, brand development, and full-funnel digital campaigns.
I began my career in social media at Nordstrom, which gave me a strong foundation in brand storytelling and customer experience. As my career evolved, I also had the opportunity to consult for global fashion brands including Zara, supporting influencer and affiliate marketing initiatives while helping brands better understand the growing power of creator-led social. Alongside my corporate career, I also worked as an influencer myself, collaborating with incredible beauty and fashion brands. That experience gave me a unique perspective because I’ve sat on both sides of the industry — as both the marketer building campaigns and the creator bringing them to life.
In the beauty industry, I continued growing my expertise in social-first brand building and community marketing. At MONAT Global, I helped scale the brand’s social presence and contributed to award-winning social and content initiatives. I later joined ColourPop Cosmetics as Director of Social Media, where I led a talented team and helped drive culturally relevant campaigns that connected with millions of beauty consumers online. From there, I expanded into hospitality and entertainment, leading content and influencer marketing initiatives for an agency that managed Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts, where I focused on creating immersive, family-driven digital experiences that blended travel, entertainment, and social storytelling.
Today, I serve as the Global Director of Social Media at FARMASI, where I oversee global social strategy ,public relations, influencer marketing, content direction, and digital storytelling across more than 60 countries around the world. One of the most exciting parts of my role is working with such a diverse group of ambitious creatives and marketers scattered all around the world, helping build a truly global community while adapting strategies to different cultures, audiences, and platforms. Localization is everything.
Beyond titles and campaigns, my journey has also been deeply personal. I’m a mother, a creative, and someone who has learned a lot through resilience, growth, and reinvention. Balancing motherhood with a fast-paced career has shaped me tremendously and has taught me the importance of authenticity, emotional intelligence, and leading with empathy. Those values influence how I approach both leadership and marketing today.
What continues to motivate me most is building brands and communities that make people feel seen, inspired, and connected , and I truly believe we’re only at the beginning of what’s possible in the digital space.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges throughout my career has been balancing ambition with personal life. As a mother, there have been seasons where I was managing global campaigns, leading teams across multiple markets and time zones, while also trying to be fully present for my family. Learning how to navigate both without losing myself in the process has been one of my greatest growth experiences. I’m never doing it all, there’s always one that takes priority over the other. And i’ve learned to have to be OK with that.
I’ve also had to overcome the pressure of proving myself in leadership roles at a relatively young age. Early on, I often felt like I needed to work twice as hard to earn credibility and trust. There were moments where I struggled with confidence, perfectionism, and feeling the need to constantly overdeliver. I still do. Over time, I realized that leadership is not about having all the answers, it’s about vision, emotional intelligence, consistency, and empowering the people around you.
Another challenge has been navigating an industry that changes almost daily. What worked six months ago may no longer work today. I’ve had to learn how to pivot quickly, embrace innovation (i LOVE AI), and stay curious rather than fearful of change. That mindset has been essential in helping me continue to grow both personally and professionally.
At the same time, I truly believe the challenges are what shaped me the most. They taught me resilience, empathy, adaptability, and how to lead with authenticity. Every obstacle pushed me to become a stronger strategist, leader, and person.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Today, I lead global social media strategy, influencer marketing, and digital storytelling across multiple international markets. My work sits at the intersection of brand strategy, content, community building, and culture.I ’m most proud of the impact I’ve been able to make through community-driven marketing. Throughout my career, I’ve helped scale social platforms into communities of millions, led award-winning campaigns, and contributed to significant global brand growth. But beyond the metrics, what I’m proudest of is helping brands create spaces where people feel inspired, represented, and connected.
I think what sets me apart is my leadership style. I lead with empathy, creativity, and emotional intelligence. I care deeply about building strong teams, mentoring talent, and creating environments where ideas can evolve collaboratively. In an industry that moves incredibly fast, I’ve learned that the brands that win are the ones that remain human, adaptable, and community-focused, and that philosophy continues to shape everything I do.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My greatest joy is my family, especially my son. Becoming a mother completely changed my perspective on success, purpose, and what truly matters. Some of my happiest moments are actually the simplest ones — spending quality time together, traveling, laughing, or just being fully present with the people I love.
I’m also happiest when I feel like I’m growing creatively and spiritually. I’m someone who values personal evolution, faith, and emotional intelligence, and I genuinely believe happiness comes from alignment, being connected to your purpose, your values, and the life you’re building. For me, happiness isn’t just about achievements or titles; it’s about creating a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and authentic.
