Conversations with KhamenLenz Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to KhamenLenz Media.

Hi KhamenLenz, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
From Syracuse to Buffalo to Miami and back to Buffalo, my journey has been built on perseverance, risk and faith.

I started my creative journey editing videos in 2017. I can’t imagine how many different types of shoots I’ve worked on over the years, but I knew early on that I loved using a camera and bringing stories together in the editing process.

In 2021, I earned my Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy in South Beach. It was an incredible experience where I learned almost every aspect of filmmaking, from the technical side of operating a camera to post-production and even marketing.

Today, I’m back in Buffalo, NY, continuing to do what I love and expanding my creative work even further. Buffalo is one of those cities where creatives come together to support one another, and I’ve found both opportunity and community in that environment.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There hasn’t been any extreme challenges other than still working on prioritizing my time with so many things that I have to get done while also working a 9-5. A lot of the goals I’m setting I’m actively making sure I’m taking the steps to complete them.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in video editing and creative direction. I’m very much known for my cinematic and high energetic editing styles. I’m very great at making lasting relationships with my clients and providing them upmost customer service. One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that people tend to make the pictures I take of them their profile pictures. It’s nice to go on social media and see multiple versions of my creativity being used for personal branding.

It’s been an exciting journey and I’m learning new skills everyday to perfect my craft.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Passion and faith matters to me most. I think those two are huge umbrellas that leaves room for other positive attributes that would naturally fall in line with your habits. Passions. Allows you to give your audience your best possible self and allows you to put your best foot forward. Faith is what keeps you going when the roller coaster starts to happen. I believe these two single handily will allow you to reach your maximum potential.
