Today we’d like to introduce you to Khadijah Jordan.
Hi Khadijah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
It all started in June 8th, 2019! “PerfectedbyKD” was created. Growing up, we didn’t have it all, but my mom made sure it happened for us. My siblings and I came from a rough neighborhood that they call “4601 Apartments”. There was gun violence every night! You could even hear the bullets Ricochet from the staircases! My mom yelling “Lay on the floor and don’t get up until I tell you to”. But I always knew that I didn’t want this life for me, I wanted to do something, I wanted to be something! I’ve always had an interest in The “makeup world” but I never knew where to start. I would watch my sister over and over even when she didn’t think I was looking lol I was. I would be up all night watching different YouTube tutorials on how to perfect my craft, and it finally came together. As my journey started as a makeup artist, I needed to know my purpose. My children, Khadeem and Karter are my reasons for where I am now! It’s not easy being a makeup artist, I started with nothing no foundation, no makeup brushes, no concealer, NOTHING!!! Every client that has sat in my chair has allowed me to grow in a magnifying way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been an easy road. Honestly, if your work ethic does not match your hunger to succeed then it will be rough but have that mindset of “ I have to make it” if not for myself then who?

I am Khadijah, and I am a makeup/beauty influencer. I specialize in makeup artistry, I am known for my name “PerfectedbyKD”, perfecting a face, and my faith in God. I am most proud of the feedback that I receive everyday. The thing that set me apart from others is the uniqueness of my brand name and the reaction of a client being perfectly crafted by me, my humbleness to learning new techniques and my loving heart for each client in their differences.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My quality and characteristics are Focus, Faith, and my motivation to succeed so bad that I want it as bad as I need to breathe. The key to being successful in any industry is Prayer, promotion, and content. In order for you to build and In order for people to notice you, you have to promote either yourself or your business.
