Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Strum.
Hi Jordan , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Jordan Strum began his career in private aviation after recognizing the industry’s growing demand during the pandemic while working in private equity. He transitioned fully from private equity into private jets with one clear goal: to become one of the best in the business through operational urgency, attention to detail, and the level of execution required to serve elite clients.
From there, he focused on building relationships, understanding client needs, and developing a deep knowledge of aircraft, operators, safety standards, and the logistics behind every successful charter.
Over time, he became one of the top private aviation advisors in the industry, helping grow FlyUSA from a small operation of under 10 employees into one of the fastest-growing aviation companies as of 2026, with over 120 employees.
Today, Jordan works with clients, partners, and operators across the country to make private aviation more accessible, reliable, safe, and transparent. His focus is on helping people navigate the industry the right way — with the proper safety standards, trusted operator relationships, and a clear understanding of how private charter actually works.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not always been a smooth road, but no serious business is. In private aviation, challenges are part of the job. Aircraft availability can change, weather can shift, crews have limits, pricing can move, and client needs are often urgent and highly specific.
The clientele is demanding because the stakes are high. They are paying for time, privacy, safety, and certainty, so the expectation is that every detail is handled properly. What has made Jordan successful is not that problems never come up — it is his ability to troubleshoot quickly in high-pressure situations, communicate clearly, and keep the client informed without creating confusion or unnecessary stress.
Private aviation requires calm execution. Jordan has learned that the real test is how you respond when something changes. His strength is staying composed, finding the right solution, and making sure the client feels guided throughout the process.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Jordan Strum services clients through FlyUSA, where he serves as a Senior Jet Advisor and Partner. His work is centered around helping clients navigate private aviation with clarity, safety, and confidence, whether they are flying for business, family, or personal travel.
He is especially grateful for the relationships he has built with clients over the years. Private aviation is a high-touch business, and Jordan takes pride in being a trusted resource for people who need guidance, speed, discretion, and a steady hand when planning their flights. For him, the work is purpose-driven because it allows him to solve real problems for clients, protect their time, and make a complex industry feel easier to navigate.
Jordan also founded JetEdCo, an aviation network built for elite professionals who want to raise the standard of service in the private aviation industry. JetEdCo brings together partners, systems, technology, and industry knowledge so members can leverage each other’s strengths and better serve clients.
Through JetEdCo, Jordan welcomes qualified members and partners who want to enter or grow within the aviation space while using the right tools, training, and support to provide clients with a higher level of service. The goal is simple: combine relationships, technology, and operational excellence to give clients the best experience in the industry.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I like most about our city is the energy and opportunity. In South Florida, you’re surrounded by people building businesses, traveling often, making connections, and thinking bigger than their immediate environment. That naturally fits the world of private aviation because the city brings together entrepreneurs, executives, families, athletes, and international clients who all value time, access, and efficiency.
I also like the lifestyle here. The weather, the water, the restaurants, the airports, and the mix of cultures make it a place where people want to live, visit, and do business.
What I like least is probably the pace of growth without enough infrastructure to always support it. Traffic, airport congestion, and the general busyness of the market can be frustrating at times. But in a way, that is also part of what creates demand for better travel solutions and makes the aviation space so important here.
