Conversations with John Everyman

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Everyman.

Hi John, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Back in 2015, I was approached with the idea of starting a podcast for a vaping show. I never had experience nor did I know what podcasts were about and how to even go about the process. The project never came through but two years later in late 2017, I had still the urge to commence a podcast, so I did just that.

The format was centered around an open forum discussion about any topic while also interviewing people from all walks of life and mainly local and upcoming entertainers of all genres. The cast consists of stand-up comedians and entertainers and has been going strong for over 5 years, now entering our 6th year.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road, even to this day. The constant struggle for us has been growing and adapting to new technology or changing producers, and just finding new ways to grow. And growth is always an uncomfortable process.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an entertainer first and foremost. I am involved in stand-up comedy (the main reason I started this endeavor in the first place), acting (which is very fun), I’m a host (probably a most favorite form of entertainment), and podcasting (which has been the most rewarding of me all).

I like to say I’m known for my stand-up comedy n acting but podcast host has propelled me a bit more in the form of notoriety. I feel like my personality is what best sets me apart from others but my sunglasses also add a nice touch to differentiation too, lol.

What does success mean to you?
Success is measured by one’s past and present results and also how you feel about your accomplishments.
