Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Clark.
Hi Jennifer, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Absolutely! My journey with Paws in Town actually began about 15 years ago, as just an idea born from my love for animals and my desire to create something meaningful for them. At the time, I was already working as a casting director, a career that allowed me to connect with talented creatives, artists, and famous personalities. Even then, I knew I wanted to use my network and experience to help animals in need.
Over the years, the idea kept growing, and last year I finally launched the official Paws in Town website, transforming that long-held dream into a real platform. Today, Paws in Town is a digital magazine dedicated to animal welfare and rescue, where we highlight the voices of influencers, celebrities, and artists who can help spread awareness about adoption and responsible care. Thanks to my background in casting, we often feature famous personalities on our covers, using their reach to amplify our mission.
As Paws in Town expanded, so did our impact. Beyond our digital content, we now organize four major themed edition events each year, combining art, entertainment, and community engagement to inspire people and raise visibility for animals who need help.
What started 15 years ago as a simple idea driven by passion has grown into a platform that informs, inspires, and mobilizes communities to support animal welfare. Every interview, every cover, and every event is guided by the same purpose: to create a better world for animals through storytelling, creativity, and community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all — the road has definitely not been smooth, but every challenge has helped shape Paws in Town into what it is today.
One of the biggest obstacles was simply turning a 15-year dream into a real project. For many years, Paws in Town lived only in my mind while I was fully immersed in my career as a casting director. Finding the time, resources, and confidence to bring the idea to life was a long process.
Another major challenge has been the emotional and practical reality of animal welfare work. Supporting rescues, hearing the stories behind each animal, and witnessing how many still need help can be incredibly overwhelming.
But without a doubt, one of the most difficult parts has been helping people truly understand the importance of adoption. Changing mindsets, educating communities, and encouraging responsible decisions takes time and persistence. Many people still don’t realize how many animals are waiting for a second chance or how impactful adoption can be — and that has been an ongoing challenge we face every day.
Launching the official website last year also came with its own hurdles:
• Building a brand from zero
• Creating consistent, meaningful digital content
• Securing influencers and well-known personalities to support the mission
• Organizing four themed events per year, each requiring creativity, logistics, and community support
And even with my casting background — which has helped us bring famous personalities to our covers — there were still challenges convincing people to support a new, purpose-driven project that was just taking its first steps.
But every challenge has fueled my determination. Seeing Paws in Town now inspiring people, supporting rescues, educating about adoption, and creating real impact makes every struggle absolutely worth it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Paws in Town is a digital magazine dedicated to animal welfare, and my work centers on using storytelling, media, and visibility to support animals and the rescues that care for them. With my background as a casting director, I specialize in connecting with influencers, celebrities, artists, and public figures, giving them a platform to help spread awareness about adoption and responsible pet care.
I’m known for blending entertainment, creativity, and animal advocacy in a way that feels modern, fresh, and impactful. One of the things that truly sets us apart is our ability to feature famous personalities on our seasonal covers, thanks to my casting experience and industry relationships.
Every season, we renew the magazine with updated stories and a brand-new cover. We also premiere a seasonal segment on our YouTube channel called “Person of the Season,” where we interview influential guests who support adoption and rescue work.
This year, I also launched a radio/podcast show in collaboration with Global Coach and PNL Radio in Barcelona, Spain, where I interview the people who work behind the scenes of animal care — nutritionists, keepers, trainers, veterinarians, photographers, writers, mediums, astrologers, and many more. The goal is to bring expert voices to the public and help deepen our understanding of how to better care for our animals.
Also this year we launch Catnation a party to support cat rescues with a different theme in each party.
We recently added a new equine section to the magazine focused on teaching people how to become better pet horse companions, offering guidance and practical insights that improve the relationship between humans and their animals.
Beyond the digital world, we organize four major themed edition events every year, combining entertainment, community, and advocacy to support rescues and promote adoption.
What I’m most proud of is that Paws in Town has become a platform that not only inspires action but also shifts perspectives. By merging storytelling, celebrity influence, expert education, and a genuine love for animals, we are helping make adoption and rescue a cultural movement — and that is what truly sets us apart
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
For me, risk isn’t about being fearless — it’s about taking action when the purpose is bigger than the fear. Balancing my career as a casting director while growing Paws in Town has been challenging, but advocating for animals, supporting rescues, and educating people about adoption has made every leap worth it.
I see risk as essential for meaningful work: it pushes you forward, expands your impact, and allows your passion to become tangible.
