Conversations with Jackie Zayas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackie Zayas.

Hi Jackie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been shaped by a passion for connecting people, building relationships, and creating meaningful experiences. After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a double major in Management and Finance from the University of Sacred Heart in Puerto Rico, I built a diverse career across banking, event planning, and public relations.

Over the years, I discovered that my true passion was helping brands tell their stories and grow their visibility. That led me to launch Longevity PR Agency in 2024, a boutique public relations firm focused on hospitality, lifestyle, wellness, real estate, banking, and event-driven brands.

Today, I work closely with businesses, entrepreneurs, and brands to develop strategic PR campaigns, secure media coverage, build influencer partnerships, and create memorable and experiential events. What has brought me to where I am today is a combination of persistence, creativity, strong relationships, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed.

I’m especially honored to have recently been recognized as a recipient of the Prestigious Women Awards 2026, an award that celebrates influential women leaders making an impact in their industries and communities. This recognition is particularly meaningful because it reflects years of hard work, perseverance, relationship-building, and a commitment to helping businesses and brands grow.

I’m grateful to do work that allows me to connect people, elevate brands, make an impact in the communities we serve, and inspire other women entrepreneurs to pursue their goals with confidence.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every step has played a role in getting me where I am today.

I began freelancing in the events industry in 2015 while working full-time at a title company, building on my previous experience in banking. Those years taught me the value of hard work, relationship-building, and balancing multiple responsibilities at once.

As my passion for events and communications grew, I immersed myself in the industry and eventually transitioned into public relations in 2019 by joining a PR firm. In 2021, I took a major leap and launched the PR department within a marketing agency. It was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience that allowed me to develop leadership skills and gain firsthand experience building a department from the ground up.

In 2023, I became a mother, and that chapter of my life gave me even greater clarity and purpose. It pushed me to think bigger about the future I wanted to create for myself, my family, and my career.

By 2024, I finally knew exactly where I wanted to go, and I launched Longevity PR Agency. The journey has required sacrifices, risk-taking, resilience, and a lot of faith. There have been moments of uncertainty and challenges along the way, but each one has made me stronger. Entrepreneurship is demanding, but being able to build something of your own, help clients grow, and create a lasting impact makes it all incredibly worthwhile.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the Founder and CEO of Longevity PR Agency, a boutique public relations firm specializing in public relations, media relations, influencer partnerships, events, and brand visibility. We primarily work with hospitality, lifestyle, wellness, beauty, and event-driven brands, helping them tell their stories in a meaningful and strategic way.

What I enjoy most about my work is building relationships and creating opportunities for my clients. Whether it’s securing media coverage, developing strategic partnerships, coordinating influencer campaigns, or producing experiential events, I love connecting the right people and helping brands grow their presence and credibility.

What I’m most proud of is building my agency from the ground up after years of experience across banking, events, and public relations. Every chapter of my career taught me something valuable, and launching Longevity PR Agency was the culmination of nearly a decade of learning, networking, and taking calculated risks.

I believe what sets me apart is my relationship-driven approach. PR is ultimately about people, and I genuinely care about the clients, media professionals, influencers, and community partners I work with. I bring persistence, creativity, and a hands-on approach to every project. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all strategies; every client has a unique story, and I take pride in finding innovative ways to tell it.

I am also known for my energy, consistency, and ability to make things happen. When I commit to a project, I treat it as if it were my own brand, and I think that level of dedication is something clients truly value.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is my family, my faith, and making a meaningful impact through the work I do.

While I am passionate about growing my business and helping my clients achieve their goals, I also want to build a life that allows me to be present for my family and create a legacy my son can be proud of.

Professionally, I am driven by helping brands and entrepreneurs tell their stories and gain the visibility they deserve. Every time I secure a media placement or see a story get picked up, I still get incredibly excited. No matter how many years I’ve been in the industry, there is something special about seeing a client’s story come to life in the media and knowing that our work helped create that opportunity. Those moments remind me why I love public relations.

At the core of everything I do is the belief that relationships matter. Trust, integrity, and genuine connections are what have helped me build my career and my business. I believe that when you lead with authenticity, work hard, and truly care about the people you serve, success naturally follows.
