Hi Hassan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hello, my name is Hassan Sleiman, the CEO and Chief Design Innovation Officer of inStyle Coated Fabric Solutions. My story is one of innovation and dedication to
sustainability. I’ve built a company in the heart of tropical Miami, focusing on supplying sustainable eco-friendly faux leather and fabrics to a range of industries, including cruise lines, river cruises, yachts, OEM / Aftermarket automotive, hospitality, healthcare, and contract furniture for both interiors and exteriors seating applications.
Before I launched my company in 2018, I pursued a comprehensive education in the USA, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Plastic Engineering and Polymer Science, a Master’s degree in Medical Devices and intellectual Properties, and an Associate’s degree in Engineering and Science. In addition, I acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Business.
Back in the school days, I held prominent positions in various leadership activities, societies, and publications, showcasing my commitment to both academia and extracurricular involvement. Some of my notable accomplishments during that time include:

- President of Student Government Association (S.U.G.A)

In addition, I acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Business. Over more than 15 years, I have gained invaluable experience by holding various positions in my industry sector. This extensive background includes roles in Research and Development, Product Development, Design Management, and Technical Engineering Formulation Scientist. This diverse experience has been instrumental in shaping my journey towards founding and leading a company that specializes in supplying sustainable eco-friendly faux leather and fabrics to a range of industries.
This rich background, coupled with my over 15 years of experience in the industry, has been instrumental in shaping my journey towards founding and leading inStyle Coated Fabric Solutions that specializes in supplying sustainable eco-friendly faux leather and fabrics to a range of industries.
My commitment to sustainability eco-friendly solutions has allowed me to expand my reach, serving not only Miami but also all states in the US and all Europe. My passion for design and sustainability is at the core of everything I do, and I’m proud to ship my products anywhere to contribute to a greener future.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Looking back, I wouldn’t describe the journey as easy or smooth, but rather as fulfilling and transformative experience. It’s been filled with challenges and learning opportunities, which have essential for growth. The combination of my educational background in diverse fields and over 15 years of industry experience presented unique hurdles to overcome. Transitioning from an engineering design innovation expert to an entrepreneur required adaptability and perseverance.
However, these challenges have made me who I am today and have been crucial in shaping my commitment to sustainability and design. The path may not have been easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding and has led to meaningful contributions in the eco-friendly product supply industry.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Happiness, for me, is deeply intertwined with the work I do. I find immense joy in the knowledge that I’m making a positive impact on the environment by providing sustainable solutions. It’s incredibly satisfying to see our products being embraced by various industries, including big-name cruise lines such as Princess Cruise, Holland America Cruise, NCL, and other prominent players in the industry. This recognition and acceptance of our eco-friendly offerings bring me great satisfaction.
Beyond my professional life, spending quality time with friends and making the most of Miami’s vibrant culture and natural beauty, such as its ocean, boating, and the exhilaration of driving along the coast adds an extra layer of happiness. I also have a profound fascination with high-rise buildings and find inspiration in their architectural beauty. This connection to nature and the ability to immerse myself in Miami’s beautiful environment make me very happy.
Additionally, what truly brings me happiness is the human connection that comes with my work. I enjoy helping people, and it’s heartwarming when my clients become more than just clients; they become friends. Many times, I’ve been invited into their homes, celebrated birthdays with them, and built bonds that go beyond the business relationship.
I’m particularly touched by the kind words of some clients, who have told me that I’m “one in a million.” It’s a testament to the strong relationships and trust that have developed, and it reminds me of the profound happiness that can be found in the connections we build along the way.
