Today we’d like to introduce you to Donald Davis.
Hi Donald, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a self-taught documentary photographer whose black-and-white photos focuses on Louisiana community life and cultural traditions. Though i didn’t begin photography until my mid-twenties, the craft quickly became something much deeper than a hobby.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has up-and-down, but I’ take it as a lesson to learn for my mistakes.

Donald “Kricket” Davis is a fine art and documentary photographer from Roseland, Louisiana. I specializes in high-contrast black-and-white photography, often capturing the culture and daily life of his community, such as local trail rides and gatherings.
