Today we’d like to introduce you to Chidera Ikegulu.
Hi Chidera, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Honestly nothing too fancy! Started with styling my artist friend for a music video in 2023 which I did not think too much of.
A year later around January of 2025, I started working professionally as a fashion stylist, creative director, costume designer and makeup artist.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly it hasn’t been the smoothest. I’ve struggled a lot with finding resources that really align with my vision(s)
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a fashion stylist, costume designer, creative director and makeup artist.
I’m most proud of being able to do what I do, so proud and grateful to be a creative, it may sound cliche but that’s the truth.
What sets me apart would be my creative pattern and ideations.
What makes you happy?
Being able to put things together and then seeing the outcome afterwards; like designing my home interior and seeing the finished outcome or putting and layering different pieces/colors of clothing together.
Why? I can’t explain honestly, I just know I’m always so happy during the process and after.
