Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos.
Hi Carlos, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Me and my brother, Gerardo Mena, started out about 3 years ago to DJ in SWFL. At first it was a passion hobby but we started to play afterparties and friend gatherings. Suddenly we started to get a lot of recognition and we started to DJ professionally, everything going great. One day I received a DM on instagram from Julian (SONIDO) asking about the local scene and if I was interested in doing a techno show in collaboration so we decided to do it. We meet up and introduces me to his friend bryan (C-ly) so we move foward to planning of the techno show (which would be the first of kind locally) millennial brewing co opened the doors for us. Just 4 new friends doing what they love. Thats how endlss was born. First show we got around 100 people which we werent expecting. The crowd loved it so we decided to do it again but also improving the experience. 2nd show sold out. More than 300 people came, third show same thing. We tried our luck on a new venue Dimension with a capacity of 600 people. We pour our hearts on marketing and we sold out that show too.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Its hasnt been easy. For us being passionate about EDM, and being fellow ravers. We tried to make our events for the people over money, curated for the attendees. We love our crowd and our crowd loves us so thats help a lot
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are the first collective in pur area that actually cares about our attendees. Putting their experience first.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Always support the local scene and artist. Support their shows and social media and that will get you great connections and friendships
