Today we’d like to introduce you to Camila Brosens.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m Camila Brosens, a fashion stylist and personal shopper based between Miami and New York. My journey into fashion began at Condé Nast, where I built a strong editorial foundation and developed a deep understanding of visual storytelling and the fashion industry.
From there, I expanded into both commercial and editorial work, collaborating with brands to bring their creative visions to life while also helping individuals discover and define their personal style. My work lives at the intersection of personal expression, creativity, and intentional dressing.
On the editorial side, my fashion stories have been published in internationally recognized titles. In 2023, I contributed a Mango fashion story to Contributor Magazine. In 2024, my editorial “The Fisherwoman” appeared in Glamour Bulgaria. Most recently, in 2025, I placed two stories in L’Officiel Baltics: “A Stroll in The City” and “Grit & Grace.”
Whether I’m on set for a brand production, building out wardrobe guides, or working one on one with a client, my goal is always the same: to create looks that feel powerful, intentional, and true to whoever is wearing them.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Breaking into this industry took a tremendous amount of work and hours that most people never see. Studying fashion and styling gives you a foundation, but there’s no substitute for actually being on set and learning through doing. The reality behind the final image or video is rarely glamorous. It’s long days, early call times, heavy racks, and a lot of problem solving under pressure.
A huge part of the journey was putting in time under other stylists and creative directors, absorbing as much as possible and understanding how things actually work behind the scenes. That apprenticeship phase is humbling, but it’s where the real education happens. You have to be willing to do the unglamorous work before you ever get to lead it.
Today, all of those hours have shaped the way I work, the standards I hold myself to, and the experience I bring to every project.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is primarily commercial styling across food and beverage brands, hotels, restaurants, and TV commercials. No two days look the same, and that variety is one of my favorite things about this career.
Most of my clients initially don’t budget for styling, they try it once just to see the difference. And once they see the result, it becomes a non negotiable part of every production. That shift is something I’m genuinely proud of, because it means the work speaks for itself.
Regardless of the industry or the budget, I bring the same level of intention to every project. The story always deserves to look its best.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most people don’t know that I actually studied Business Management at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. After graduating, I worked as a Community Manager and spent my days in front of a screen. It didn’t take long to realize that I needed something more creative, something that allowed me to express myself in a tangible, visual way. That’s when I made the decision to completely shift my career, move to the US, and study fashion. And I’ve never looked back.
