Hi Bobbi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m BABALOONEY, the proud owner of her own Balloon Entertainment Company, THE FUNSTERS. My goal ,while growing up in Queens, NY, was to become an Early Childhood Educator. I became a teacher and taught for 20 years .When my husband and I moved to Florida, I realized that I wanted to continue my involvement with children. I’m at my best when I can share my time and smile with your children. I always believed the adage that states, ‘when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life’. That’s me!
I took my ideas to different restaurants as a form of entertainment for the children.The managers and owners of these restaurants loved the idea. Let’s face it. The families come to the restaurants for the food and balloons . At the moment, in addition to twisting at over 200 private parties a year, festivals, holiday events, and Grand Openings, I twist amazing balloon creations at The Original Pancake House in Southwest Ranches and Texas Roadhouse in Miramar and Coconut Creek. I love the connection I still have with children. The looks on their faces as I’m creating, is the best!It’s magical! Their parents are pretty amazed, too.
I owe a lot to my husband, Guy. He has been at my side the entire time. He has helped me achieve the success I have experienced over thee past 14 years. My website and jingle were created by him . No Guy has always encouraged me to go beyond what I think I’m capable of doing.
Yes, I am living the American Dream. With a lot of determination and pleasure, I’m proud to say that I have created a successful company. It’s been a great journey, so far.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Everything has been great. The only ‘hiccup’ I had was when I broke my elbow. I wasn’t able to work for a short period of time. However , the restaurants kept in contact and waited for me to return. I even received emails from some of the children, telling me how much they missed me.
I’m truly blessed!!!!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What sets me apart from others? That’s easy! I love being with children.Yes, I make incredible balloon animals, but it’s really about the connection I have with the kids. I’ve spent my entire life being there for the kids. Whether it was being a camp counselor, tutor, after-school coordinator, teacher, or balloon entertainer, I’m there for them! I can’t even begin to tell you how many times kids hug me before they leave the restaurant. Their parents tell me that they’re already thinking about what I’ll make for them the following weekend or on Kids’ Night So many parents tell me that they’re dining in the restaurants because of me.
The boys usually want superheroes, swords, dragons, dinosaurs and aliens. The girls ask for princesses, mermaids, bunnies, Hello Kittens butterflies. If they ask for something I’m not familiar with, I promise them I’ll learn it and make it for them the following week. You can be sure, they come back the next week. I get hugs and kisses!!!!
I’m so blessed to be able to continue sharing my love with children. The way I make them feel is my trademark.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Some people define success by how much money they are making and how much money they have in the bank. Yes, of course, that’s a plus but that isn’t the reason I have pursued this career. I want to be known as the woman who has brought joy to children, be it a smile, and a really cool balloon creation. I measure success by the reaction on a child’s face as I give them the balloon they wanted. If you ask me, I will tell you I AM a SUCCESSFUL entrepreneur ,
