Conversations with the Inspiring Lorraine Hernandez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorraine Hernandez .

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lorraine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
A local to South Florida, I grew up in Miami Beach.
Where I attended Miami Beach Senior High, which at the early age of 16 graduated with college credits-later moving to Orlando where I attended the University of Central Florida is one of the youngest in my class.

By the age of 21, I had become a senior manager for 18 million dollar restaurant featured repeatedly on Fortune 100, where I built a career. Just a few years later, they sought for me as an Assistant General Manager where I continued my growth. However, that’s not where my true passion was.

Coming from a line of realtors in the family I was always drawn to it ….
I purchased my first home at 22, and in the journey of it all was when I simply knew where I had to be. It was as if the light bulb went off and I saw everything as if for the first time. I’ve always been ambitious and determined from an early age, achieving much in such a short time yet it is only the beginning.

My love for the salty air and ocean breeze brought me back down and I now reside in the beautiful sunny city of Fort Lauderdale. However, Miami has always been my home. The ambiance, the food, the lifestyle is one hard to beat. I’m passionate about the potential in Miami. The city has always been booming with development and it will continue to do so for many years to come.

There is just something so beautiful about the home buying process. As a first-time home-buyer, nesters, a growing family, retirement, or vocational. Every occasion has a story and you bring that into your home. Every home has a character or personality – the architecture, the landscape, the finishes it speaks in volumes; it’s all very exciting for me. My greatest joy comes from meeting a client and finding what sparks joy for them and then being able to bring that to them, that is the greatest reward.

I like to remember my own experience and bring that factor to my client. It’s like going on a treasure hunt; I will find your gem.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting a new business will always have its challenges, however, perseverance is key because nothing truly rewarding comes easy. You have to come prepared. What does this mean? Have realistic goals, a solid plan, and a strategic method into generating great marketing for yourself/your business.

Some of the most tedious work is actually the most important for the structure of your new and upcoming business, so it is dire you don’t skip out on these details; it could potentially be the thing that prevents you from your full growth.

Then, pushing through the bumps! Remember why you started the project in the first place when things don’t go as planned and improvise. Because things will steer off at times, but you got this – it may require some creativity but you will overcome any challenges so long as you keep reminding yourself of your end goal.

Remember that all great things take time in any realm of business, so do not get discouraged if your first year isn’t a big hit. Take everything that you’ve learned on the journey and implement your business plan- that is how all greats continue to better themselves.

Have trust in yourself. It’s ok to make mistakes, we only get better from them so long as we learn from them. Find people who inspire you and learn at least one thing from them that you can apply to yourself and your business. Surround yourself with people who are doing better than you, it may sound intimidating at first however you will appreciate this in the long run. They think and respond differently, you will learn a lot from them and it will also motivate you to get on their level. Then, just remember its YOUR story and you make it whatever you want it to be.
