My journey into the beauty and fashion world has been all about passion and creativity. I’ve always loved how style can transform and empower people, which led me to pursue a career in this industry.
In 2024, my husband and business partner, and I took a big leap and became the co-owners of Avant-Garde Salon, a high-end salon in Coral Gables. It’s been an exciting challenge—combining our shared vision with the salon’s legacy to create a modern, chic destination for our clients. We are worked hard to make Avant-Garde a place we’re people feel confident and cared for.
Being a mom of two, I’ve learned how to juggle family life and running a business. We’ve rebranded the salon to reflect a clean, elegant vibe inspired by iconic luxury brands. It’s been a journey of growth—from building a great team to streamlining operations with modern tools.
Today, Avant-Garde is more than just a salon; it’s a space for creativity and community. I’m excited for what’s ahead. It’s been an amazing experience, and I’m grateful to be able to share it!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a rocky, nor a smooth road. Rebranding the salon while respecting its history was tricky, and refining an already established team to align with my vision has been an ongoing process. Learning new systems like MEEVO and balancing business with being a mom have also been challenging, but they’ve made me stronger and more adaptable.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about Miami is its vibrant energy and diversity. The mix of cultures, art, and food creates an incredible atmosphere that’s always inspiring. Plus, the weather and beautiful surroundings make it such a lively place to live and work.
What I like least? Probably the traffic. It can be a bit overwhelming at times.
