Community Highlights: Meet Virginia Lujan of Mindy International Inc

Today we’d like to introduce you to Virginia Lujan.

Hi Virginia , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My professional journey began over 20 years ago in the corporate world, working in multinational companies across industries such as automotive and consumer goods. I held leadership roles in Human Resources, where I was responsible for developing leaders, designing talent strategies, and supporting both operational and strategic business decisions.

Throughout those years, I had the opportunity to work closely with executives and teams under high pressure, navigating growth, complexity, and constant change. While the business results were often achieved, I also witnessed something deeper—leaders who were successful on the outside but internally overwhelmed, disconnected, or operating from stress, fear, or automatic patterns.

That experience marked a turning point for me.

I realized that traditional approaches to leadership development were not enough. They often focused on skills and performance, but overlooked the internal world of the leader—their emotional patterns, decision-making under pressure, and overall well-being. And having been in those environments myself, I didn’t just understand it intellectually—I had lived it.

This led me to make a conscious decision to build a different kind of professional path.

I became certified as an Executive Coach under ICF standards and as a Mindfulness Facilitator through IMTA, integrating psychology, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness into my work. But more importantly, I built my practice on the combination of my corporate experience and my personal understanding of what it truly takes to lead and perform without losing yourself in the process.

My journey has also been deeply international. I was born in Venezuela, lived and worked in Mexico for six years, and for the past three years I’ve been based in Miami, serving Hispanic clients in the U.S. and throughout Latin America. This multicultural experience has shaped how I understand leadership, adaptability, and human behavior across different contexts.

Today, through my company Mindy International Inc., I support executives, entrepreneurs, and organizations in developing a more conscious, emotionally intelligent, and sustainable way of leading—one that not only drives results, but also creates a better way of living, both professionally and personally.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road—and I think that’s part of what gives meaning to the work I do today.

One of the biggest challenges has been at the organizational level. Many companies still prioritize results almost exclusively, without fully recognizing that the internal state of their leaders directly impacts those results. There is often a gap in understanding that emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and mental clarity are not “soft” aspects—they are strategic drivers of performance, decision-making, and culture.

So part of my journey has been not only offering services, but also helping organizations shift that perspective. Helping them see that developing the internal world of a leader is not a luxury—it’s essential.

On an individual level, the challenge is just as real, but more subtle.

There is still a strong tendency for people to believe that their internal struggles—their stress, anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt—should be managed on their own. Almost as if those “mental loops” are something you just push through or figure out privately over time.

Because of that, investing in personal development, coaching, or emotional well-being is sometimes perceived as unnecessary or even as a waste of time.

And yet, what I’ve consistently seen—both in my own experience and in my clients—is that when those patterns are not addressed, they don’t disappear. They show up in decision-making, in relationships, in leadership style, and ultimately in results.

So the road has involved a lot of education, reframing, and sometimes challenging deeply rooted beliefs—both in organizations and in individuals.

But that’s also what makes the work meaningful. Because once that shift happens, the impact is profound—not only in performance, but in how people experience their work and their lives.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the founder of Mindy International Inc., a Miami-based company focused on leadership development, executive coaching, and emotional well-being within organizations.

At its core, my work is about helping leaders and entrepreneurs build a more conscious, emotionally intelligent way of leading—one that allows them to perform at a high level without sacrificing their mental clarity, decision-making, or overall well-being.

I work across three main areas. First, executive coaching, where I support leaders one-on-one in navigating complex decisions, internal pressure, and leadership challenges. Second, I design and facilitate tailored leadership programs for organizations, focused on strengthening emotional intelligence, communication, and team dynamics. And third, I create what I call “Mindfulness and Well-being Spaces”—experiences within companies that help individuals regulate stress, improve focus, and reconnect with themselves in the middle of demanding environments.

What truly sets my work apart is the combination of three elements.

The first is my background. I spent over 20 years inside multinational companies, not as an external consultant, but as part of the system—leading, making decisions, and experiencing firsthand the pressures my clients face today. I understand their reality beyond theory.

The second is the integration of disciplines. My approach is grounded in psychology, executive coaching under ICF standards, and mindfulness. This allows me to go beyond surface-level solutions and work at the level where real behavioral change happens—how people think, feel, and respond under pressure.

And the third is that I don’t offer standardized or packaged solutions. Every engagement is designed based on the specific context, challenges, and culture of each client. My role is not to “apply a model,” but to help build the right approach for that particular organization or leader.

What I’m most proud of, brand-wise, is that Mindy represents a different way of approaching leadership development. It’s not about adding more tools or more information. It’s about helping people change the patterns from which they lead, decide, and relate to others.

I want readers to understand that investing in this type of work is not only about professional growth—it’s about creating a better way of living. Because the way you lead your work inevitably shapes the way you experience your life.

And that’s ultimately the impact I aim to create.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me in three main ways.

I offer one-on-one executive coaching for leaders and entrepreneurs who want to improve their decision-making, manage pressure more effectively, and lead with greater clarity. I also partner with organizations to design customized leadership development programs focused on emotional intelligence and team dynamics. In addition, I facilitate mindfulness and well-being experiences within companies.

I’m always open to collaborations—especially with organizations and communities in Miami that are looking to bring a more human and conscious approach to leadership.

The best way to connect is through my website or LinkedIn.
