Community Highlights: Meet Terry Lynch of Flex Sales Inc

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terry Lynch

Hi Terry , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Great, thanks! Where do I start?! I’m from a small town in Toomsuba, Mississippi. There were few opportunities, so my best chance at success, I soon realized, was to leave town and do something with myself. The alternative was to stay in the same place, work, and accept having little forward progress, and I was not about that life.
As a child, I took a liking to sports. I was always athletic, and I knew if I played sports well, I’d have the opportunity to make it out of Toomsuba, so football became my main priority. I started playing and made it up to a semi-pro level. I had a couple of options to play professional ball, but it didn’t pan out, and I needed to pivot. I got a job in corporate America, worked my way up the traditional way, stayed with the company for 6 1/2 years, and was up for a promotion when I was passed over. I was floored, but even more so when they wanted me to train the guy they brought over me who had only been at the company for two years. That was my final straw with the company, and I decided that day that I wanted to be in the driver’s seat making the decisions.
Sadly, things were not going well financially and credit-wise at this point. Despite much hesitation, when I was down to my last dollar, I accepted an opportunity I would have generally never – a 100% commission role in sales & marketing. I had a mentor (who has been instrumental in my life) who told me when I shared my hesitations, “What are you afraid of? If you feel like you’re worth it, then prove it.” I took that mindset, ran with it, and have been in the industry since 2010, opening my firm shortly afterward. It’s 2024, and I am continuing to grow as an entrepreneur in sales and marketing, working with Fortune 100/500 companies in the telecommunication industry and pinching myself at my good fortune.
Being an entrepreneur has helped me branch out into many other things. We’re ending 2024 after an explosive year and looking to expand more aggressively in 2025. If a guy from a small town can grow up, make it out of Mississippi, and do some pretty cool things professionally, anyone can.
At my firm, Flex Sales Inc, we will continue growing in the Florida area, as we did in Atlanta. So we’re looking for people getting their start in sales and marketing, those who want to grow vertically rather than laterally, personalities who are excited by taking on challenges, and those who seek great rewards.
And that’s my story. I’m excited about the present and look forward to a more exciting future.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Most challenges, I have learned, come from loved ones who doubt your abilities, not out of malice, but because they only know you in one light, self-doubt, and accepting failure as an option. I have used these experiences to coach my team on unearthing these mental roadblocks, so it’s all been worthwhile.

Of course! We’re a privately owned marketing and sales firm representing Telecom and Natural Health Companies. We show customers options with providers in their area, making things more cost-efficient for their household. What sets our work environment apart is the experiences people receive while working with us. My brand, Flex Sales Inc., will always be about professional growth for anyone who works with us. I want people to know sales are very lucrative if you allow your mind to be uncapped.
