Today we’d like to introduce you to Susan.
Hi Susan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started blogging back in 2016, and that simple beginning sparked my passion for content creation. By 2018, I was working with brands, receiving PR, and fully stepping into the world of social media. I majored in Public Relations, finished school, and continued growing my love for storytelling, community, and all things digital.
Today, I’m a mom and a wife, still creating content — but now with a new chapter added. Four months ago, I launched my own content creator group, Soul Social Society, a space where I host content days, meet-ups, and events for fellow creatives. I bring together women who want to connect with like-minded creators, collaborate, make content, or simply enjoy a day to themselves.
Each meet-up is something different and intentional — from cozy coffee dates and studio content days to brunches, wellness experiences, and Pilates classes. It’s become a community built on creativity, connection, and moments that inspire.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve had seasons where I felt burnt out, questioned myself, or wondered if I was doing enough. Balancing motherhood, marriage, and content creation hasn’t always been easy. There were moments of uncertainty, slow growth, and times where brand opportunities weren’t consistent. But every setback pushed me to get clearer about what I wanted, trust my path, and keep showing up. All of those struggles led me to building the community I have today. but my passion for creating is what keeps me going. Getting lost in the creative process fuels my soul and reminds me why I started.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My community, Soul Social Society, is a community-driven content creator group that I started a few months ago, and it has quickly become something I’m incredibly proud of. I bring creators together through curated events, content days, meet-ups, and unique experiences built around creativity, connection, and self-care.
What truly sets Soul Social Society apart is the environment I’m intentional about creating — a safe, welcoming space where women can show up exactly as they are. I want this to be a community where women feel supported, encouraged, and uplifted by one another. It’s not just about content; it’s about connection. It’s about helping each other grow, collaborating instead of competing, and building real friendships along the way.
We host a variety of experiences — from cozy coffee meet-ups and studio content days to brunches, wellness sessions, floating pod events, and Pilates classes. Each gathering is thoughtfully designed so creators can relax, create, and connect in ways that feel meaningful.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the supportive community we’re building — a place where women feel safe, inspired, and empowered to pursue their passions. For anyone discovering us for the first time, Soul Social Society is more than an event; it’s a community that celebrates creativity, authenticity, and women supporting women.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising that most people don’t know is that I’m actually very shy at first. Hosting events and being on social media has pushed me out of my comfort zone, but in real life I’m much more introverted than people expect. Creating this community has helped me grow in ways I never imagined.
Also, People are often surprised to learn that I do everything myself — planning the events, designing the flyers, coordinating collaborations, and managing the community. It’s a lot, but I genuinely love every part of it.
Lastly, A surprising thing about me is that while I host so many events and love bringing women together, I’m a total homebody at heart. I love quiet moments with my family just as much as I love our community meet-ups.
