Community Highlights: Meet Stephi Wald of Willly

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephi Wald.

Stephi Wald

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I didn’t know the mind could be quiet… It was always busy – repeating the same worries, doubts, and assumptions, not allowing me to make decisions or enjoy the things I was doing. Being at a Yoga class with a restless mind is exhausting, not relaxing. Trying to figure out life with a restless mind – impossible.

Now my mind is calm, and I am calm. It’s possible!

Here’s how I got there:

Moving from Germany to Miami was a dream I had carried for years – to live in a warm climate, surrounded by palm trees and close to the ocean. But once I arrived, something unexpected happened. Sitting on the beach, I realized I had everything I needed, yet I felt an inner emptiness, an overwhelmed mind, and a lack of inspiration.

I began to explore what it really means to feel fulfilled – not just successful on the outside, but connected and alive on the inside. Then I discovered breathwork – and everything shifted. It helped my mind slow down, release confusion, and reconnect with a deep inner trust. I felt like myself again – grounded, joyful, and authentic.

Before this chapter, I worked as a photographer, drawn to capturing authentic lifestyle portraits of people around the world. Looking back, I see that what I was searching for through the lens – inner peace, presence, and that spark of aliveness – is now what I help people experience within themselves.

From there, Willfly Breathwork & Experiences was born – I create spaces to breathe, feel, and reconnect.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Haha, the first challenge was letting go of the thought, “This is not a job. This is too woo-woo.” Breathwork had transformed my life, and it felt so natural for me to share it – yet my mind kept going back to those old beliefs and fears of judgment, whispering that this wasn’t something I “should” do. But I surrendered and pursued this path!

The second challenge came just two weeks after completing my first breathwork training – when the COVID lockdown started. I had just begun building a practice that was all about breathing together. But I started offering sessions online, and in a way, the timing made sense – people truly needed tools like this to navigate the uncertainty and stress of that time.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Willfly Breathwork & Experiences is rooted in one simple truth: how we breathe is how we live. When we reconnect with our breath, we reconnect with ourselves.

I offer a range of experiences – from private gentle “Relearn How to Breathe” sessions to transformative Breathwork healing journeys and Sound healing sessions in Miami; to private group experiences, corporate wellness programs, wellness lounges and mindfulness breaks at conferences, and international retreats. Each space – often held in nature – is designed to help people release stress and anxiety, restore balance, and remember what it feels like to live with authenticity and inner calm.

And then there are my Fear-to-Power workshops – helping people overcome limiting beliefs through practices like Glass Walking, Arrow Breaking, and Fire Walking.

What sets Willfly apart is the combination of depth and accessibility. The world doesn’t offer many spaces where it feels safe to be raw – to cry, to release, to express whatever we hold inside. I create and hold space for these profound emotional experiences in a grounded and inclusive way. Whether it’s a corporate team seeking focus, or someone on a personal healing journey, the intention is always the same: to help people feel at peace, seen, and empowered to live more fully – with clarity, ease, and joy.

I’m most proud – or better said, grateful – for the community that has grown around this work: people from all backgrounds coming together to breathe, share, and rediscover the quiet joy of simply being alive.
And I’m proud to be hosting my first retreat in Colombia this January! More info on my website.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Authenticity. Integrity. Compassion. To live honestly and stay kind.
